WHY NERF THE ELDER SETS?

"It will devalue my items...?" What a cancerous way to update a game. Absolutely no other MMORPG releases updates based on others valuables.

We already have items that fill the 75 niche. Please reconsider this. If raiding isn't profitable my mates and I will not be using it surely. The PvM should be difficult, the drops very rare, and the items worth the fight.

Also, the Elder Maul will STILL be absolute trash. More buffs needed.

Dragon Sword is such a useless niche weapon.

Also... we've seen what, 6 bosses now, and more to come...? THIS IS ALL YOU CAME UP WITH? Honestly, KEEP the 75 Elder Sets, and make an 80 tier set( s ). This is going to be such a fail of an update if you make it as dead as vanilla Zeah was. Please do not ruin the biggest update of OSRS.

Anyone defending the update... christ, use some common sense?????????? Unless you want more pointless content, good for you. Joy is not joyful. JOY IS MAD.

Allow me to rephrase:

"WAAAHHHH you'll devalue my bandos set! An item that is now considered the BEST item in 2007 nearly 10 YEARS LATER!"

AGS is STILL one of RS3's best items. This is such a moronic way to update your game.

If you continue to release nerfed items, or niche items like Elder Maul (no point in using), and dragon sword, or nerfed nex sets so nerfed that they will hold no true value compared to bandos...? Why update it at all. This is just a useless update. The new prayers is all I care about.

RETHINK your logic before you kill the raiding update. These items are almost all trash. I would highly suggest you add more, and maybe even keep the 75 sets and add a few tier 80 gear pierces (armor pieces/sets/ or even weapons).

WHY would I use a set of barely better bandos armor that degrades? I'm not spending 100s of mils on that. It'll be useless. These sets are useless.

Don't make me rehash the argument on everything else. This entire raiding dev blog is so terrible. I'm literally so mad at the dev-team for releasing this garbage, and letting it go multiple blogs later.

I like the size of this update. We need more massive updates. Remember, there will be SEVERAL bosses in this volcanic dungeon. Many I hope are high content, and fiercely challenging. If so we should be rewarded properly. My issue is that more than half the content is rubbish / niche items. Also, honestly, they've shown 6 bosses I think? With plans of MORE. We need a bit more offered. More that isn't trash.

Rewards are mostly fine now. Maybe scale back the negative magic defense bonus on Elder armor a bit, but the reduced strength was necessary IMO. Kind of lukewarm on the defense requirement being removed from the prayers, too- it's been mentioned already, but Piety has a defense requirement of 65, so why don't the other two?

Also poll raids again before they come out, or at least make them solo-able. We don't need a clone of RS3's god-awful version.

Thank you! I am glad people agree. I told my clan mates, and all of us agree that the raiding content is underwhelming... if not borderline garbage. The tier 80 sets were already good as is. They aren't OP, and if any piece of gear ever is it can be balanced with NEW gear/weapons/foods/prayers. Which Jagex has NEVER attempted to do IMO. But the tier 80 sets would've been fine. I honestly think they should be nerfed nex sets with HP bonuses. Or they could keep the tier 75 gear as "med content" and offer us some tier 80 items. We've diddled around long enough. How long has OSRS been out? We've seen ZERO tier 80s. COME ON.

Then there are some items that are just undeniable trash. Dragon Sword has a VERY niche use. The degradable armors won't be respected when there are bandos sets that are 10 levels lower, but act just as good.

But if you want the biggest joke. Elder Maul. Honestly, they should just offer us Chaotic Maul. The Elder Maul is complete GARBAGE. I've tested it in Beta. Almost everyone agrees it is TRASH. Adding +15 accuracy to its crush will not save it whatsoever.

AGS will still be better as a crush weapon for PvM, along with BGS/D Warhammer. The Maul in PvP... Jesus it is a joke. Even a bigger joke they call it a "combo weapon." Come on Jagex team. I know you bow down to the 75% poll system, but PLEASE !!!! :( :| :(
