It's a bug, you probably abused it and now that it's fixed you are mad bro. REAL MAD BRO.

Get over your self people. Geez.

People 1 item, it's annoying.. move on do something else, fight other people or just kill them and move on.. Free exp, and good practice for when you get a real fight.

The dragon spear special was beyond dumb, and needed to be fixed.

One thing I will agree with tho is they need to do something now to make it still useful, because outside pvp it's useless besides fighting Corp, which there is a stronger spear and the special has no use their.

So they need do something else and make the spear special in it's own way again, not by it being abused to get cheap free kills and be sketchy way of basically robbing someone because they risked one item.. and fact is, it's not even fair to those people who risk 10mill in the wildy and they don't want to lose their weapon or armor piece but people spear them over and over and they cant do anything to prevent it..

You dont realize you are slowly destroying the PvP community just like last time around.

Many people including myself refused to go into the wilderness at all with that glitch possible. It was a broken game mechanic that needed resolving.

There are these things called "high risk" worlds for people who are against 1 iteming. Personally I like the protect item prayer and most risk pkers seem to.

Ok Jagex you nerf the d spear without a poll! Where is the logic?

Gives us Dragon claws without a poll because you ruined the d spear and the pker need a compensation for the bad D spear now ( Dragon claws is a part of osrs 2008 right)

In a previous post or update by Jagex they explicitly stated polling is not open to outstanding bugs or balancing issues. Now, I may be an RS3 player but that Dragon spear special sounds way too overpowered. Given that many of the users were cowardly, greedy 1 itemers who would vote against the change the wilderness would become a dead zone.

It is true that when you bring gear into the wilderness you should expect to lose it to a pker. However, it is also true that pkers should expect their would-be victims to fight back. Without this there's no point venturing into the wilderness is there?

What is even more true is that once your hitpoints reach ZERO, you should be DEAD. Not glitched up until your prayer hits zero.

Nerfing the dragon spear helps risk pkers and risk pkers only. I honestly don't know what you're on about. I can only assume you're one of the people who teamspeak instalogged in clans to troll people helplessly at the mercy of that glitch. It was a game breaking glitch that resulted in horrible game design. The spear bypassed the entirety of defenses that a person could bring, meaning the only people who liked the existence of this glitch were clans that literally exist only to make people feel bad. I think an import thing to add to LMS, is the deadman mode tournment final hour name change. I think this is important because this will stop people from targeting a specific player, or teaming with them just because of a player status to the community. This would also help in competitive play to stop people from specifically attacking the top people on the charts at the very beginning of the game.

Terrible decision on the d-spears. I haven't been around for awhile (so I'm wondering) was this put to a vote?

This changes the entire dynamic of the wilderness, and will slowly corrode the wilderness pk clanning experience. The clanning experience of RS is the main reason some of the oldest and most loyal players still play. Clanning instills a community experience within members, where otherwise Runescape is a completely antisocial game. To take spearing from the wilderness is to pour mercury on the wilderness, which will cause it to slowly fade away. If you (Jagex) haven't learned from previous mistakes, abolishing the wilderness was the downfall of the game in 2007.

Again, I have been away from the game for a while, and so I do not know the details of the decision. Hopefully, something has taken the place of d-spears in order to counter the negative impact of extracting their use from the game.

As a veteran player of the game, and someone who sees the game as something that has been a greater part of their life, I hope decisions like this take into account the impact of community players. As someone who finds them-self too busy to be a consistent member of the community, as real life responsibilities have taken over, I hope to engage in the clanning experience (nostalgia) every once in a while. In order for clanning, and the community experiece, which has slowly evaporated from the game, to continue the wilderness must function in a way that promotes community based clanning and pking.

Looking into the issue further, but hoping Jagex/theRScommunity has made the right decision for the community on this decision.
