Was unsure where to put my feedback on LMS so I will put it in a few places, sorry for the repetitiveness.. Also, before I dive into things, the recent changes did improve things significantly, but I think there can still be a few things tweaked to make this a consistently enjoyable experience.
That being said, the one key thing that came to my mind (as a player of both betas) is MAKE THE MAP BIGGER/MORE EXPANSIVE. When the idea for LMS arose, I loved the idea of a survival game with Runescape mechanics integrated into it. However, a core concept to most survival games is the vastness of the area in which the combatants are dropped into. Heck, I've gone full games (of ~200 people) that I've made it into the final couple dozen survivors and hadn't seen a single person! Albeit less exciting, avoiding others to make it into the final few is a survival tactic for some players. I say at least give us the chance! Make it huge! Maybe even the size of the wilderness/Zeah. Add in multiple floors to houses/small buildings around the map; caves or tunnels with chests/obstacles to lose your foe; even Varrock/Falador sized towns which could be multi-combat, yet contain higher valued loot. All these things would give a chance for multiple play styles of this mini-game to develop!
I feel like by expanding the map alone you could tackle many of the issues that players are having with the beta.
-Matches are too short: The larger map size could add in even more timed instances where the fog creeps in to bring contestants closer, drawing out games longer and making them more rewarding to win
-Loot is too hard to come by: A bigger area would lead to having more places for our looting pleasure
-Gear is sub-par, making fights dull: Again more chance to loot leads to being able to exchange that loot for more tokens for better gear (if the current system remains in tact)
I've hit the character limit but this is just my opinion. Hopefully we can come up with solutions to make LMS great!
