You guys should do a poll:
Q: Would you rather see us add new content to the game, or should we update old and outdated content (*cough* Trouble Brewing)
Yeah I don't get why they almost seem desperate to pump new updates into the game when there is plenty of stuff to do to improve existing things. Not to mention a lot of their past updates have been sloppy and ineffective, or weren't what they were intended to be.
Examples:
Minigame "matchmaking" system - Basically it put lodestones all over the map and didn't actually incentivize minigame activity apart from having dedicated clan chats. Why not just set these chats up or create a clan chat "directory" instead of this system? 99% of the people using this use it for the free teleport system (which cools down faster than home teleport even). You used to have to work (or buy items) to unlock certain teleports, watchtower for example, now you can just teleport to NMZ and you're at yanille. Tons of people pointed this out on the devblog but were completely ignored.
NMZ - It's pretty obvious to everyone that when this was actually voted on there was no mention of it being the best combat XP in the game, much less completely AFKable combat XP. It was supposed to be a fun minigame with the actual rewards being the incentive to play it, not the XP rates. A fix to this shouldn't even be polled as the XP aspect wasn't even polled to begin with and was an unintended consequence.
Wild Rejuvenation - Nice idea, but mostly DOA content. Resource area gives little incentive compared to skilling outside of the wild, literally nobody is ever in there. You let the drop chin question be voted on even though it shouldn't have been so obviously skillers wont let it pass, Boss drops are mediocre, activity died after the first 2 weeks. People gave Mat K pages of actual good ideas on his Zybz thread and he took very few. Real incentives need to be introduced, not mediocre ones.
