"MIDSUMMER EVENT 2016

Head over to Hotpheex in Taverley to take part in the Midsummer Event. Over the next two weeks the Taverley druids are going to be needing a helping hand, so make sure you check back every day to take on the daily challenges. If you show some support, Hotpheex and his friends may want to repay the favour and reward you."

Hotpheex? As in "hotfix"? Last year, multiple players posted on the OSRS forum that they spoke to Kaqemeex but were unable to start the 2015 Midsummer event. We pleaded that the Jagex programmers fix it so that we could do the Midsummer event, but no one ever fixed it. (I missed out on ~14 disks of returning and ~14 half-full jugs of wine.) I don't know why not a single JMod ever read our posts.

I will be getting the Mask of Balance this year, but it will leave a feeling of ambivalence when I get it, seeing as how it will remind me of how several players were denied the chance to participate in the 2015 Midsummer event because of the poor programming by whichever JMod coded the 2015 Midsummer event.

Why are the shard and totem drops so rare? I've done 4 tasks and have 1 shard and 1 totem base. I expected to get like 2 - 3 drops per task so that you could expect to take on the boss every few tasks. Now it takes so long it doesn't seem worth it because the drops aren't that great except for the shield left half.

I need the shield left half to complete my Ardongue diary as I am an ironman. By the way have you considered adding the shield left half as an elite clue reward or increasing the chance of a drop for ironmen since we can't buy it?I've been playing as an ironman for over a year, have 93 slayer, and haven't gotten one dropped yet!
