EDIT: doesn't sound like it would work as bots can program themselves to leave that world like a normal player?

They can do that, but then they'll just be sent back again. If a bot wants to spend all it's time hopping worlds... But you said some legit people may be sent to these worlds, wouldn't the same happen to them, and if they want to skill with their friends or whatever they would spend all their time hopping worlds too?

Disappointed it's not the same bot detection as RS3 if I'm honest, all I can really see this do is annoy legit players more than anything.
I honestly think this would be more convenient that annoying. You practically get a whole world to yourself!

Will there be specific bot worlds? Like stay away from world 333 or whatever because thats where bots are redirected?
No. You will not be able to select the worlds on the world select menu. They are all hidden.

I honestly think this would be more convenient that annoying. You practically get a whole world to yourself! Except you would be in a world full of bots, only difference is there will be more bots as there will be less "bot worlds" so all the bots are in in a few worlds rather than spread out

So if they are hidden, will it come up on your friends list as 'Watch World' or whatever? Like will it be known by the user that you are in a bot world and didn't just lag out for a second while skilling?

I think there's a problem.

Mostly, there's a normal human who leaves his account botting. (As we everyone know)

So basically the problem goes like this: Human log's in to his account with the bot client, and knows he is in the fake world, he can just log out and log in, then just leave his account botting.

And also i think that it wont last long till the bot's are updated to log in, out and in. :/

Atm I play a mixture of 4 games (old school runescape and 3 others). I was semi- closed to maxxed on 'normal' runescape but couldnt be bothered to get stuff like 99 mining because it didnt feel like an achievement with all the bots having those stats. Reading posts like this where you just say 'bots are a problem and there alot of em' makes me happy. Because it shows that you guys managing oldschool runescape are real and sincere and dont try to hide problems. I personally am not sure whether this system will work or not but of course as a random player, how would I have this info. Anyways, your enthousiasm in responding to questions etc. and the way you guys are managing oldschool runescape keeps me motivated to keep playing. I wanted to say that your a business and a business is about making money. The bots pay membership so businesswise its worth considering to keep them around. However I just wanted to mention that having no bots really motivates legit people like me to keep playing and keep paying for membership. Thanks alot for trying your best and in the long run 'business wise' I think it will also be better. If there are no bots I will get friends to keep playing etc*

**;dr: really like the way mods communicate to players and admit problems and try to deal with em. It motivates me to keep playing/play more than im doing.

That shouldn't happen as a player reacts differently to a bot when they have found out they have changed worlds. If a player is playing with friends I can't see them being moved in the first place. But, you are right it may happen in which case we will look at the heuristics we are using and adapt them to make sure it stops happening.

Sadly, as mentioned in the dev blog we wouldn't be able to fully integrate RS3s anti bot systems without significantly changing the game, and you guys won't want us to do that.
