Ah, so you DID miss how it worked.

One example of a system we could offer if LootShare were to be introduced is InstantShare. If you were to get a signature drop from a boss monster with InstantShare enabled the item would instantly be sold on the Grand Exchange to the highest existing offer. The coins from this trade is then split evenly between the team.

This system is similar to CoinShare but avoids the issue of generating coins. InstantShare would not generate any coins at all. The coins would be coming straight from the offer that another player has already made in the Grand Exchange. It would not create any issue with inflation or incomplete trades. Everything's an integrity issue if you troll enough.

And about the shards, you could always duo in GWD and instead of always having to sell the item u can save up on 1/2 Tassets and zammy Spears and put them in a loottab, not having to concert ur split-cash converted to platinum tokens just to keep track of it

Did you even read the previous Devblog?
It was stated that if coinshare comes out,it will get sold in the ge for the highest price possible.
Which means no GP is generated, short term it will be flipped abit but in the longrun it's better. yay someone who read the other blog :D hearts.

I definately do not want Lootshare as it is too easy for players to abuse by building up potential while still sharing with friends then joining big groups when there potential is high so I am very pleased you have dropped it.


I could live with shardshare but think I would prefer to see coinshare.
(n.b. i'm referring to the coinshare you wrote about in the earlier dev blog)

Perhaps you could poll shardshare and coinshare but please do not poll lootshare.

So....
Introducing a completely NEW ITEM, and a NEW SYSTEM that allows you to exchange said items that bases itself off of the Grand Exchange Values exactly....

Is more complicated than just Selling it on the GE in the first place?

The proposed ShardShare is going off the GE prices....and then ADDED 2 MORE STEPS
Instant Share is Less Effort. Everything's an integrity issue if you troll enough.

You seem upset, Vinyl Dj***3, not sure why, after all this whole polling-thing is opinion based. I'm just letting the JMods know theres also RS-players who do support shard-share.

And the way Coin-Share is described in the previous forum ís alot more complicated, as there will be ways to stop Elysian Sigil splits be instantly sold for -200M under the street-value and a bunch of other facts that need to be taken care of.

After the little, low-detail semi-identical shards are designed and a few copy-pasta codes for the new items to be sold in the G/E, Shard-Share will take care of its own, the shards will always represend 1/300th of the item it's split off regardless of crash or rise or what ever you can think of.

If you'd truly think about this, on behalf of the whole of the OSRS-Community, chosing from LS, CS or SS, then Shard-share truly is the most fitting.
