Please Read This Jamflex, simple idea for splitting system without breaking up the PVM community


How this would work

If a valuable item (Sigil, BCP, Hilt, etc.) is dropped with Shard Share enabled it will go to the team with the player who did the most damage on that kill and will be split equally between said player and anyone of high enough rank with Shard Share enabled in the same clan chat within the area.
120 Shards will equate to a whole item and will be split equally across the team so in a trio each player will receive 40 shards each, in a 5 man team 24 shards each and so on.
These shards can be traded and taken to the Grand Exchange to exchange all 120 Shards for the item.

If the shards cannot be split evenly between the team e.g 7 man team (120/7=17.142 shards per player) the amount of shards per player would be rounded down to 17 and the player who earned the drop (dealt most damage) would receive 18 (6x17=102 102+18=120) teams can always arrange between themselves to give the 'leftover shards' to the tank if desired.

Benefits of this system

Would Completely remove the risk of item scamming in ALL WORLDS on OSRS without splitting up the current PVM communities and allow people to PVM the way they want FFA or Split in ALL WORLDS
I also believe this would be a much simpler and quicker update to put together than the whole Lootshare system and would fit the OSRS community better
Splits would not rely on a player having a fair offer in the G.E

Split teams is where scam happens. in lootshare it is impossible to scam. go read how ls works first. if you still want to join scam/split teams you still can. no one is forcing you to join ls teams.

Once people get big loot, lets say ely sigil, people dont bother to do LS anymore. who will want to miss 4 more ely to bring their LS to neutral? and if they get ely in 3man team, then they will have to miss 6 ely in 6man team to bring it neutral. so once they get big drop they stop LS and it will be hard to find people to do LS when many people with big negative lsp in future.
To fix this bring back decay with 3or5% per day or just for negative lsp.

You didn't read what I said, if not splitting just FFA not LS. Lootshare allows leeches to get loots

Where are the solutions to the problems LS worlds create? (players who want to team can't on half the worlds, and players who want to solo can't on half the worlds)

What about people getting a drop via LS and then just not sharing it - how are you planning on working around that, when you're making negative LSP less punishing than it was originally?

The currently proposed version of LootShare is akin to constructing a precarious fence - people will think it's 'safe' and be lulled into a false sense of security, then get scammed.

In our current situation, there is no fence, so people are aware of the possibility to get scammed and take precautions to avoid it; putting in place a system which masks the ease with which people can be scammed (without actually undermining it) is just going to cause more scams.
why do you think most of people dont want ls in 1st place? what if most people like ls and the 60% is not enough for ls and 40% is left empty. this is what happened in pre eoc. everyone liked ls and non ls worlds left empty.
when ls comes out. 40% is more than enough for solo and non ls teams**** is pretty popular and addictive pvm.

You didn't read what I said, if not splitting just FFA not LS. Lootshare allows leeches to get loots why would you keep someone in team who is not attacking the boss. remove him and add someone, problem solved. this most likely never happened anyway.
