Greetings.
I really enjoy Zeah and what it has to offer. However the great size versus over-use of repeated graphics assets is bothering me. The size is not as grand as what is proclaimed. For instance the Shay*ien houses, with the red roofs, look totally amazing. Yet these houses look cloned and plenty due to the sheer size of them in the area the dev team had to copy/paste them over and over. The amount of buildings is not needed to be this high and could be reduced. As well as the entire continent size in order to provide a more unique experience.
This version of RuneTek 2/3 definitely has limitations. Shouldn't JaGeX acknowledge these limitations instead of trying to forced a Skyrim-like exploration experience? Given these limitations we are shoved into an environment more like Elder Scrolls Arena. I bring up Arena because of the horrible reputation for being just too big with repeated graphics assets and not very interesting to explore. It may be tolerable by fanboys but as quality, long-lasting content... no.
Seriously consider the scope of Zeah and what you can do to uniquely add size as opposed to repeating, in a seemingly arbitrary way, the same assets to seem huge. There are plenty of dead towns, mini-games and areas in the game that could use a slight tweak and have plenty of new content injected into them.
JaGeX, if you are going to spend dev time please connect with people on forums more. Twitter, youtube, facebook, twitch and all this social media (in general) is lacking the necessary back-and-forth and in-depth discussion necessary to reach the finer talking points of Zeah. 140 character limits and insanely fast-paced chats you can't read are not productive environments for growth.
Please... please get out of the modern social media movement JaGeX and get back on forums. For the sake of OSRS.
PS: Posting a one-shot suggestion/news thread and not participating doesn't count.
