Some activities require you to have high favour with their house in order to play.
However, items that you've earned and taken away can generally still be used elsewhere without needing to keep the favour. Such as the new watering can.

Most of the new skilling resources are untradeable, for use in the favour tasks only. Though there's a tradeable new fish.
