Great City of Kourend? Can anyone point me at the way to the city because I still haven't found it yet.
This update is a major disappointment and quite frankly it showed lack of imagination and effort put into making it.
What city? There is no city. The is just one giant minigame 10 times the size of Varrock. There is way too much free space, the level of detail and care of some areas is quite literally zero, each "house" feels like a part of a minigame. There is no feel of a city here. It is just empty building after empty building. Where are the town squares? Pavement roads? Marketplaces? Walls surrounding the entire city and the individual houses? Castle or Palace, in contention or not? There are no roads connecting each "house" zone which makes it seem like they aren't even part of the same original city. The lack of NPC's (traders, people of relevance to the city, etc), shops and other facilities in each individual territory removes any sense of a real city. In Lovakengj the buildings are filled with lvl 7-11 Dwarfs and the occasional Armour trader...this is really depressing. The lack of quests aggravates this even more. There is nothing significant to do here except grind your prize and get back to the "real" world and even that becomes tedious due to the reasons above.
Are the houses really competing with each other? Because they seem to be just "chilling" next to each other. And tell me about House Shay*ien. What on earth is that? Did the Devs leave it like it is because they needed to rush the release? Because by the looks of most of the entire update it does seem to be the case. The first time I saw a possible map for this update was in a "Let's Build Zeah" named New Altars. You could see on the fogged map (time=14:00 +) that it seemed that they had planned a HUGE city divided by the 5 families but all we got was this, a couple of camps stretched in map just too big and empty.
Even though the ideas are good the execution is lacking alot.
