When were these things polled?

We have also made two changes to make griefing in a pvp environment a bit more difficult. Crystal equipment will now revert to a seed on death and we have removed the spam created when you eat a rock cake.

Untradeable items lost on death above level 20 wilderness are now destroyed and converted to a small amount of coins.

Not sure about the crystal part ever being polled, but the untradeable items change was polled and the result was NOT to change it. They changed it anyway. Congrats, North Jagex Korea.

The basic level upgrade will change the behaviour of untradeable items so should you die in the Wilderness beyond level 20, any non-tradeable items you drop will appear to your killer as piles of gold.

Would you like us to upgrade the Wilderness to the basic level as featured in the latest developer blog called "Rejuvenating the wilderness"?
Yes 82% (18601 votes)

I'm sorry you're illiterate.

In typical Jagex fashion they throw in a nerf among the tons of other questions hoping that people wouldn't notice. They should have polled all changes to existing mechanics separately from the actual "wilderness rejuvenation" updates. Seems pretty dishonest to say the least.

It's not really a nerf, just stops idiots from taking full sets of untradables into the wild and thinking they're hotshots.

griefing is never something that should be polled same with nerfing and bug fixes the jagex team need to take some responsibilities for the better the game.

"griefing" is a matter of opinion. Is anything that annoys players now deemed "griefing" and subject to a forced update\nerf without community approval? The nature of PvP\the wilderness is that anything goes. It's always been like that. If newer players who started in 2012 don't like it they should stay out of the wilderness.

And besides, it's not like there was a huge amount of "griefing" with untradeables above 20 wilderness. The vast majority of it was in low level wild and in PvP worlds - So this affectively does nothing to actual "griefing". Now that Jagex has set the precedent that they can force any update down our throats if they see it as griefing they will make all untradeables everywhere in PvP revert to coins, because that's where the actual "griefers" are. But of course the sheep who say "ty jagex" without questioning their decisions won't realize that until it's too late.

Im sorry but a dragon pick axe isn't going to keep players in the wilderness.

We are going to need more... a lot more.... such as all the corrupt weapons and armors added to these drop tables.

Considering most people pk near lvl 1-6 This update wont be affecting most people.

Just saying. I mean who is really going to go deep in the wilderness? Now that its full of bosses that don't drop anything "actually" good.

You wont see voiders past level 20 anyways. Tbing is the main problem that is going to stop players from even going deep into the wildy.

Idk. They broke their promise to the players regarding changing things when the playerbase doesn't support them or is fragmented in regards to a particular change.

Need I remind you of why 07 came into existence in the first place?

In RS3 we are looking for change though.

i thought the kill/death thing was turned off by default

i certainly don't see it

Now that i've logged in it's off, hopefully that's on purpose. I just assumed it was on by default from the way they worded it:

When you walk into the Wilderness an overlay will appear which will show how many times you have died in the Wilderness, how many kills you have made in the Wilderness and the ratio between them. There is also a board in Edgeville bank which will tell you the Kill Death Ratio of those around you, the board also allows you to toggle the KDR overlay on and off.
