You could also say the Tentacle is a living breathing thing! It grows in power everytime you feed it a whip.

You can 'feed' your tentacle up to 6 Whips which increases its attack bonuses two point each and its strength and pray by one point.

This would mean your tentacle whip would have maxed stats of +94 Slash and +88 Str and +6 Prayer.

In addition to this it would require the consumption of 6 whips in order to reach this status. You could keep the special attack but have a clause where the tentacle reverts back to its unendowed form if dropped in wildy.

I might like this idea more but there's an issue with what happens when it gets dropped. It could potentially be a very powerful weapon with no real risk.

make it drop half the invested whips rounded down so 2 whips invested pker gets 1 when its full the pker will get 3 whips. and when you die with it from pvm and you make it back it shouldnt really revert since almost no items do that.
this way there is still good loot when it's a strong whip and there is a also a big item sink so win-win situation.

Will you be able to 'top-up' a tenticle with a whip? I wouldn't want to bother going to a boss or on a slayer task knowing that my whip would dissapear during the task. Could I put a whip in the tenticle if it had like 100 charges left or would I have to wait for it to decharge completely?

Working off that John, how to we make the Tentacle worth loads of money? It will need some sort of internal item sink to keep it always costing money.

It will initially be expensive due to the lack of supply and the great demand for a 'better whip' However once everyone who has 75 or 80 attack has one then the demand will start dropping rapidly and the supply will be going up.

I think pking is the way to solve this. Some way that the tentacle itself disappears.

The hate, I can see it with your words you're typing. Clearly just hate me or DP and need to hide behind the lies that are made-up by people like you that just want to hate on us. I've never hit anyone offline and never will.

They aren't lies and DP have already admitted to hitting me off at 44s for 60k. Don't you think it kinda ruins the game when you hit anyone off who makes you a bit mad?

This seems way too much, by all means add the stats to it. but poison and binding special attack ASWELL?!. I would say either add the stats ONLY, or add the special attack ONLY. The special attack would only benefit PVPers (not that the special attack on a whip does anything good anyway for PVM). The stats would be cool but whips still hit pretty hard, people in full bandos etc, will hit big big numbers, but i guess if they are in wildy/pvp world with that gear then it's there risk. I do support a whip sink though. There will be way too many in the game soon and the main weapon that everyone uses will eventually be alching price (again)

As for the new neckalce for 10% more magic damage? no. Magic is strong enough, anyone in ahrims with ancient staff can hit decently with mage even vs hides/karils.

smoke battlestaff? sure why not.

We can probably make it "top-upable" if you are below a certain threshold.

If you die with it in wildy your killer recieves half the vested whips rounded down but no tentacle. This would mean that killing someone with this will still provide you with a nice pk reward, but will also in turn serve as an item sink for the tentacle base itself/

I like all of these suggestions, but shouldn't the entire abyssal tentacle be destroyed so that players have to go back and replay the content for another tentacle.

Having a way for the tentacle base to be destroyed will keep its value up for awhile. It is definitely needed in a good item sink solution.
