Seriously! Do you even poll anything these days?

The XP tracker came with multiple features that weren't polled.
The progress tracker never saw a poll.
The GE web pages saw no sight of a poll.
Zoom hasn't been polled.
Plus a variety of changes you've done in the Other news section have been inconsistent with polls. For example God wars dungeon boulder had no poll but kree'aras magic attack did.

These are all big updates which affect so much of the game and how it's played, they should be polled. Please just poll it, I've been posting on the unpolled update threads for quite a while and you clearly haven't understood the message. RIP Forums

Finally we have signatures in the surprise forum update. I'm Lewis, I play Old School & I've been playing since 2005.

Oh no they added an XP tracker, Grand Exchange Web pages, and Zoom! This is going to break the economy! These updates are affecting the game so much that I just don't know what to do with my life anymore! Time to quit OSRS. It was good knowing you all....NOT

Does this mean if I leave the caves before defeating Jad that my Slayer XP gained via the caves up to that point will simply reset and I can start over. If it's the latter then I definitely think it should be changed to allow users to return either until they complete the task or skip it. (Of course with Slayer (or even all?) xp only being gained in the event of a successful trip! ^^)

Well done, you just mocked the entire basis for old school, a community game. All updates are voted on by the players, even if they have little effect on the game.
Just because you don't see an update as something that effects the game doesn't mean there isn't an effect. For example zoom will really change how we interact with the game and the ge pages will affect the economy. I'm all for these updates if they are polled but if they fail to poll them then they are a failed update. RIP Forums

I think that being upset about updating the game with features and content that has not gone through the polls is a valid argument. In this specific case the zoom feature does have the potential to change the game as it essentially increases the range at which a player can click. by doing so it allows players to click less to function (skilling) in the game.

To clarify this point with an example; i spend most of my time in game woodcutting at the gnome stronghold yew trees. i usually only have my camera facing down and directed north. because of this without the extra zoom out i would not be able to right-click onto a nearby yew tree with just one click. the zoom out in turn give me more skilling efficiency and within the grind to 99 makes a larger difference.

So getting non-polled content added to the game could eventually lead to an effect similar to "power creep" seen in other games. i for one however enjoy the type of addition that the team has been adding that hasn't been polled as usually it is with good intent and usually comes with an option for the player to abstain from using the content.

even though i don't agree on his delivery i believe that the argument that lewis shoot has is a real argument and is one to be respected and acknowledged.

Regarding being zoomed out, im encountering black squares along the edges of my window. this can be seen very clearly seen when fixed client mode, all the way zoomed out and rotating the camera. i also run OSRS through the application on my computer rather than on my browser if that makes a difference. hopefully a mod can tell me whats going on or have it fixed by next patch. thank you, its not that big of a problem i just thought i'd let you know.

Kinda makes it obvious that sailing won't 'really' be polled, but shoved down everybody's throat. And even if they poll sailing, they won't poll any potential game breaking aspect of it.

so does the jad update mean you can't log out and take a break anymore because after so many tasks the lighting bugs my eyes so logging out in caves should be okay because not every person can sit for 45- hour and a half without interruptions...

REGARDING JAD
It means once you leave the Fight Caves themself, your task is OVER. It does not reset, it ENDS.
This does not mean log out, as you do not leave the caves.

REGARDING HERB SACK
Any person who has 750 Slayer Points stockpiled is not picking up herbs any more.
This needs to be drastically lowered. 200 as an upper limit, 120 for reasonable.
