Cerebrus should require 95 Slayer. The boss will drop 5 new items that will be best in slot (smolder for axe/pickaxe and the 3 boots.
FIVE best in slot items from 1 creature, it needs to have a high requirement. If you don't want to Slay for money then stick to Zulrah (I'm talking to YOU, Nmz prods). Slayer has zero content for the last 6.5m xp in the skill. Cerebrus is a great new addition of high level content that should simply be that, high leveled.
It makes no sense that something with 5 best in slot items to have no Slayer requirements, but a pathetic niche dagger requires 85.
I like everything besides that the regular abyssal demon drops a good weapon (abyssal whip) and the abyssal sire drops a dagger that is a stab weapon when we already have great stab weapons like the zamorak spear. We need a designated crush weapon for bosses/monsters that are weak to crush. The player that posted before me has a great idea that the sire should drop an abyssal mace or flail (both one handed) with the same special or a different one either way just a crush weapon would be way more useful than a dagger in my opinion. I think that more people would agree that it would make more sense to drop a mace/flail than a dagger and the regular abyssal demon drops a whip?
Anyways everything sounds good, keep up the work!
slayer!

I'm not too worried about upgrading d boots over Bandos as the new boots still have no range def bonus which Bandos remains BIS for.
I think the real issue is the use of ranger boots as an ingredient to make the pegasian boots. I understand that lvl40 range 1def boots should never have been BIS for this long and that it is time for an upgrade but it really isn't a good idea to make a sink for them.
Dragon boots are too easily obtainable in comparison and the game needs something equally obtainable as an ingredient for the range and magic boots. Alternatively you could have a npc who could turn the gem into boots for a fee (1-3m?) this introduces a more useful sink for gp.
Ranger boots will still hold good value as they will remain best in slot for anyone under 75def which is a lot considering how many zerkers/pures in the game.
I'm also worried about the lvl95 slayer and task requirement to kill the boss. There are less then 3000 players who can access this content. The demand for the melee boots will be very high and with so few players being able to access the boss it will become a case of only the very richest being able to afford it. Those 2781 players who can test the new content are over represented on the forums and are licking their lips with these 100m profit slayer tasks you are giving them. Any item as obtainable as these boots for these maxed players is certain to attract RWT.
Please think of the economy.

Add abyssal long sword drop to abysal boss drop table, that requires 80 attack to wield and has slash attack bonus of 90.
90 slash? kraken tentacle is 75 attack req and has 90 slash. That longsword be dead content lol.
@middle, there will be more than 6k+ ppl who gotten 95 slayer by that time and i dont think u can kill the boss without beeing tasked so it wont be camped boss anyways, if you are worried just because you cant obtain 95 slayer then train your skill please.

@warlord. I'm not interested in grinding at the boss with 45def. I'm just saying that creating a boss which so few people can access will create such unrealistic prices on the new boots and will create revenue for RWT. 6000 lol... could possibly hit 3500 or 4000 but more then likely only 2500 active players will be able to access it.
The def bonus from bandos boots will be useless even if it has range def because prims will have a huge strength bonus and retain very similar defensive stats. So yeah they definitely need to be included in this update somehow
