Now it's official: you added the best melee and magic training methods without asking us first, and now you are requiring 75% support to remove it.
Dharoks @ MM monkeys is faster for melee, and magic is basically the same.

The AFK rates are about double what they actually are, maybe the paying attention rate (with a lurer) you will get 160k xp but I don't think 10k more xp is a big deal if you have to use your own runes and click constantly.

Nightmare Zone 160k XP per hour
Nightmare Zone (AFK) 160k XP per hour
Burtsting Monkeys 150 XP per hour

Melee
Nightmare Zone 105k XP per hour
Nightmare Zone (AFK) 100k XP per hour
Melee Bandits (AFK) 70k XP per hour


They even ignored the top xp rates pro players are getting. Would have looked bad to say "NMZ: 180K XP/H" so they simply said:

When looking at when the XP rates we weren't looking for what the maximum possible XP rate was, but rather what was the top rate of XP that the majority of players were getting. In every activity there are some players that are more efficient than others and we felt it wasn't fair to base XP rates on what the few but most efficient players were able to achieve


And when you consider the cost of xp (NMZ is much cheaper) it's right to say:

There are a number of you that are asking why we are we polling the questions. The reason is because from the previous thread there were as many people saying not to touch as there were saying to change it. This shows us that the decision is not straight forward and as such the decision should be with the right people, the community. The results of the poll will tell us what the community feels.

As for the numbers that were used, those were all taken from the information that was sent to us. I don't doubt that they are not wholly accurate, but they still highlight the major issues that the community seem to have which is the cost of mage training and afking.

Dharoks @ MM monkeys (guards) is like 150k/hour with dharoks, maybe more and there is a prayer altar so you don't use money there either..

Mat's magic rates are way off, you definitely don't get 160k magic xp afking lol. More like 100k afking with a team and about 50-60k solo. 160k/hour is probably using a lurer which isn't afk.

Mat already said that they were making it so if you want magic xp in nmz you will have to use your own runes, so the cost is a pointless argument now.. But I agree with you.

This kind of sucks because the majority of players who already abused and got their free afk levels are going to vote to nerf this XP. They already got theirs, and they want to keep themselves at the top, so this poll is kind of skewed.

Check nature prices. No one buys them to alch as they can get better xp AND make cash while afking.


They are about 260 ea now, which they have been around since march. (Any rise or fall in prise has more to do with bots.)


Wrong. Natures crashed ~30gp in the past 10 days because people started training their magic in the NMZ (it got much more popular due to all the talk about it). This is the reason ahrims skyrocketed in the same period of time.

There is no increase in people selling, if there was you could say bots are selling their stuff that is why it is crashing. That is not the case. The price is going down simply because NO ONE is buying the runes anymore.

If you clearly believe that NMZ has no effect on the market, would you care to explain why is this question even being polled?

Not sure if I should waste my time arguing with you as it is clear you are stating something without even trying to prove it.

Why are you polling something which should never have been in the game in the first place?!

We never voted for these stupid xp rates, nmz was meant to be fun + social to beat quest bosses, not the broken xp handout it is now, I would have voted no if I knew it would turn out as bad as this, and I know a lot of others would as well.

Definitely voting no for all of these, they better not pass. Simple matter is, you can't offer a service for 4-5 months and then get rid of it. It is biased and unfair. Most of the people that want it nerfed are those that have already benefited from it. NMZ is an important part of the game now and if these changes are implemented I assure that it will become dead content and many, many players will quit the game.

150k/hour at the altar monkeys? Either that's including hp xp or is bs. Probably both... The very pro players get 180k str xp/h at NMZ in a team, so NMZ is still better...

Yeah, NMZ is the best training place. Doesn't have to be a genius to figure that out.

I feel like the rates posted are wrong.

AFK magic is at most 50k xp p/h solo, or 100k with a team

Second, the melee xp is off
It's not 100k per hour, maybe if you add attack + hp it would be
But in reality, its around 80k p/h

Glad to see there will be a poll, and that the community will decide
