Question: Do bonds give the same amount of subscription time as a normal subscription fee would provide?

I wonder because prices for membership seem lower through bonds now (:

Thanks

The number of days you can get for redeeming bonds is displayed on the screen when you're redeeming them. I'm not sure how the billing team determines the relative prices of these things though.

Will Ironman accounts ever get access to bonds? Ironman accounts should at least be able to put items/gp into a GE "coffer" or "buffer" till it adds up to a value of a bond and then trades for ONLY A BOND. You couldn't get anything except a bond back, which you could trade with no one. I see no issue with that but envision lots of design issues with the "wiggle room" on pricing.

Intriguing idea. I like it in principle, though I agree about the design issues.

For now, Iron Man accounts can receive bonds as gifts. To give a bond as a gift, the donor must USE it on the target player.

@Mod Ash, I like the gifting idea and thanks for telling me. That could lead to drop-trading stuff which is tedious and another unnecessary aspect of Ironman accounts.

Instead of changing how bonds work would it be possible to create a "give away" option for Ironman accounts instead of "trade?" That way we can showoff wealth as well as have the ability to give whatever we want away to players for *only a single bond*. Also allowing us to gift items as well without having to drop and hope for the best that someone else doesn't telegrab it.

I think of it like one half a trade screen from RS3. You see me adding items and a little box at the bottom-right the other play can add a bond. Trade would be two-phased like usual.

Tell me what you think, thanks for reading

Okay so the bond buying system is buggy as hell. I tried to buy 10 bonds, told me payment failed, checked my bank account and the money was taken out of my account, 10 mins later placed back into my account. So I logged off Runescape and tried again with buying 1 bond, it worked, bond was on my account. So then I tried to do it again being logged off Old school with 5 bonds, sure enough it didn't work again but the money wasn't taken off my account.

I guess I'll try again when you guys fix the system.

It's pretty simple for an ironman to drop, say, spare clue items like zammy pages that they can't use theirselves but are worth money to their main, who can then buy a bond with the proceeds. Then just use the bond on the ironman :) 10 year vet cape :O

There have been one or two small issues with the billing system, they should be resolved now.
