I'll be voting no for clue scrolls changing their names to easy medium and hard. There's no need, and it's taking away from Oldschool feel for me.

Be good to get clues from Bloodvelds and Dark Beasts though.

Also, I would like a "I don't know" option added to the poll questions, for more accurate feedback.

Hmmm. At least we know it's technically feasible these days. Even if it - like the other gazillion player requests - hasn't made this poll, it can get in a future one.


Why does everyone believe it was ever technically "unfeasible"?
I was there the day that stupid limit was imposed, it was to stop people world hopping right after an update and clearing out stores of their supplies etc. It was deemed "unfair" for some reason.
Why does no one remember this? How does no one know this?

Hmm idk, pretty sure there was some sort of pid in PVP before. Otherwise they wouldn't of had to change pid to begin with, they could have just used the wilderness system for duel arena

PID was never just specific to the Duel Arena, or to PvP, or even to combat. It applied if two players clicked on anything, such as a door, a mining rock, a tree, a monster, another player, etc. It determines the order in which the game processes requests from each player, regardless of whether that request is PvP-related.

So I very much doubt the engine team is ever going to be able to make it stop randomising just for PvP-related actions to your satisfaction. There isn't a "Wilderness system" of PID or a "Duel Arena system" of PID. There's simply a list of players logged into a server clicking on stuff, and the server must choose an order in which to process their clicks.

They could roll it back to the 2007 state where players could get themselves an advantage through their IP address, but I'd honestly prefer to see PvP victories determined by in-game combat stuff, not by your network setup.

Would it be hard to put in an old slayer reward, runes for 250 casts of Slayer Dart, back in the game? I think it would help reinforce using magic for slayer tasks for those with slayer points to burn...

We could do it, sure. I think in recent times people have been burning through their Slayer points to try and get Cave Kraken tasks, but in future there ought to be more long-term uses for the points.

Can't we have the ability to teleport to the Mourner Tunnels using a Slayer Ring instead?

correct me if i am wrong, but mod ash said he put a cap on trident making it impossible to hit above 30hp with it.

The cap of 30 refers to the trident's natural max hit before damage multipliers are factored in.

Spell damage is calculated roughly as follows:

1. Take the spell's max hit.
For earth wave, it's 19.
For fire wave, it's 20.
For ice barrage, it's 30.
For the trident, it's something between 1 and 30, depending on your boosted/debuffed level. This is where the cap of 30 comes in.

2. Pick a random number between 0 and the max hit (inclusive).

3. Apply multipliers and other special creature-specific effects.

Oh yeah, "old school" forum avatars would be a cool thing to introduce. I don't like being forced into default avatars just because I don't play RS3.

We asked the engine & web teams if they could do that. The answer was a very firm No. Apparently the avatar system was never designed to work on two completely separate model libraries, and they're unlikely to ever have time to rewrite it for this.

Question: Should the combat XP you get in Nightmare Zone scale up so you get 100% of the XP if you have unlocked all of the bosses available for that dream?

This Question is not explained unless I hear some answers I will vote no ^

Nightmare Zone dreams contain only monsters from quests that you've completed. For example, Count Draynor appears only if every player in the dream has completed Vampire Slayer . If someone in the team hasn't done that quest, Count Draynor doesn't appear.

The question is offering to make the combat XP depend on how many monsters are available. So a Rumble party of players who've all unlocked every monster would get
the full XP rate. A Rumble party with just ~5 monsters would get a lower XP rate.

This question's included because many players feel the melee XP rate in NMZ ought to be reduced, and this sort of calculation would let players earn a higher XP rate by introducing more monsters into their dream. But players who are happy with the existing XP rate will likely vote No. The issues in NMZ are more about the free Magic XP and the AFKing.

Iirc, when you released the GWD, you said you weren't going to change the attack styles of other 2H swords, from Bronze to Dragon. This means, that update only would change Godswords here.

Indeed, no changes are being proposed that would affect the other 2h swords. Similarly, when we added GWD, we didn't change the stance of the other 2h swords to use the fancier stance that godswords use.

While fishing, especially while Barbarian Fishing, when you click to drop the fish, the action of you fishing stops until you re-click once again in the fishing spot.

That got changed once by accident, possibly in 2009, and a lot of players demanded that it be put back so that it wouldn't encourage XP-grinding. I'm not sure how well it'd go down in OSRS.

I understand that lots of players don't want dclaws. Is there anyway to modify them so they appeal to everyone?

Some players want dragon claws because they could have a huge effect in combat.
Other players don't want dragon claws because they had a huge effect in combat.
We could offer a half-way version that simply doesn't have such a big effect in combat, but I'm not sure the first group of players would like it.

However i am curious to know, are you aware that your cannon will hit 0's 100% of the time whilst a staff of trident is equipt? and was this done on purpose , Let me know - Thanks! :)

The cannon's accuracy depends on your melee/ranged accuracy, taking into account what weapon/armour you've equpped and what combat stance you're using. I think this is peculiar, but that's how it's always been.
With a trident equipped, you can't do melee or ranged, so the cannon stops being accurate too.

Bear in mind that a dream with Damis, Karamel, Glod and a Dagannoth Mother will be a very different environment from a dream that's just spawning The Kendal over and over again.

Well, I'd heard that a delay was necessary to make sure your profile had been saved on logout before the next world tried to load your details. Even Jmods sometimes get misinformed - like the thing years ago where someone in the engine team officially confirmed that PID didn't exist, despite all players knowing it did.

This guy makes a good point there should be a "I don't know option" for polls as sometimes people are neutral to certain questions and they shouldn't be voting in certain things, this also allows people to vote in other questions besides the question they were neutral to so the poll system isn't exactly as messed up.

As for the cluescrolls theres not even a reason to mark a difficulty on it its annoying seeing the difficulty and all you need to know its a cluescroll....... adding difficulty wont do anything to clues but make people drop them more often, the point is to encourage people to do clue scrolls the surprise is the whole point to them. So just remove it from the poll questions.

On this forum thread I have been seeing a lot of talk about bank tabs. I'll just say right now I wont be supporting them but I do understand why people want them. I always felt that one of the things that made old school, old school and made it stand out from the actual main game was the bank itself.. The bank was always so different and kool and better. I wouldn't want my bank look to be ruined. I could handle probably the search option and fast deposit stuff, not the X features though..

But for the bank tabs if they ever come I would absolutely love to see a bank tab toggle off/on option as I feel seeing a "+Plus sign with a box around it" would be a bit to much of a graphical change for the bank.. And like I said the bank is always one of the things that I considered to be kool awesome unique on old school, so for that reason I would want a toggle option for bank tab visibility off/on as I don't want it to look weird and it'd make more people happier.

as for clue scrolls they should be replacing the actual whip drops and dark bow drops as you would just bring in more random junk to the economy making it worse. And clue scrolls have always have replaced actual drops on the drop table and rare items. Making a clue scroll drop with a whip of dark bow would be unfair to the players trying to profit off of them and its unfair to the economy there is no reason to make a double drop loot of a cluescroll and a whip. Adding a cluescroll to the dark beasts and abyssal demons drop table is good enough you don't need to make it so both the rare drops of clues and whips appear at the same drop.

In pre-eoc when 2 players hit each other at the same time the hitsplats appeared at the same time and both players could die. Is it really impossible to make it like that while keeping the last hit random at duel arena?

In pre-eoc your were given a random pid on login which remained the same until you logged out but your pid did not affect pking at all


your pid should really not be effecting anything not even skilling.. it should go by who really clickd first.
