We really do not need this update. Something like godwars makes more sense considering...... IT ALREADY EXISTED. This is 07 Runescape, we didn't pay to vote for new content, we paid to play the old servers, before the game was made too easy. I'll sincerely quit this game never to return to jagex if pointless updates happen. If you want to replay quests, you have domion tower in EOC, and if you feel the need for new content, go back to that ghost town of a game.


I simply do not understand why you are trying to add new content. IF you're going to toss this garbage into the game, at least make it so there are no rewards. It's replaying a quest, which is already completed content for a reward. Why reward someone twice? There was no new level 50 or 65 gear, or new rc teleports. If you want runecrafting update, add in Great Orb, at least that was in this Era. We do not need new armor, we don't need new crap updates littering the game to the point where you have no idea WTF the person next to you is wearing (****cape).

Completely pointless update, I'd rather you take the funding you're using for that update and throw it towards your RS3 game, so you don't feel the need to raise rates on us in September to fund that failed game. You already admitted EOC was a mistake, why push the envelope farther. Why start making changes to the only project your players have been passionate about in YEARS (07 RS).

As a business, you minimize costs and maximize profit. You can keep profits the same, and lower costs by not adding anything to 07 servers. We do not need or want updates. We dont need one click banking, or right click reports, or new garbage gear changing the experience from what we know and love from back in the day.

Please please please no updates, or at the very least, no updates that can change the foundation of the game such as new gear which does not belong in OLD SCHOOL runescape. OLD SCHOOl = 2007, not IVP trashing Runescape, AGAIN

Believe me, I'm not advocating for GWD which would create an unbalanced CB traingle, But I would take something that was two weeks after the 07 cut off rather than a random update, with new gear, never seen before in any Runescape. I want the same fundamentals to the game, and I am more than happy with rune, dragon, and barrows being the three popular armors.

And before anyone says 07 will die without new content, go to EOC, new content weekly :)

I was so glad we didn't hit 500k votes so we would have the same never evolving servers

I really like this idea and i hope that it goes into place, by the look at the poll it will. I think it would be better if it was a random rare drop rate that you could get an armour piece at either level 50 or 65 armour.

For the people that don't want this update - Oldschool runescape will slowly but surely die with out the help of potential game changing up dates, like this one.

You have never been to wildy recently.

Voiders can hit 60s+ with 1 hit no risk needed.

Dds, can hit 35 ,35 no problems = 70 1 hit.

So to be honest these godswords wont make that much of a difference considering they can hit the same amount

^^ If anything dds can hit 8 lots of 35s with 4 clicks.
and voiders with d bows can max attack anyone.

The games combat triangle is already uneven.

This update will make the game more interesting with more things to do , why moan, lets just play the game because end of the day updates like this decreases the amount of boredom and amount of players quitting due to nothing to do.

2 points =/= 3, no triangle.

Id rather see this rebalanced via a stat adjustment or release of godwars, then a totally unprecedented update being brought to 2007.

If you crave new content, you really should not have signed up for an old school server. the name is pretty self explanatory. If you wanted this cb system with more gear? yeah then your SOL there my friend.

EDIT: If players have nothing to do, they can train their skills, or finish some quests!
Training is much harder now, theres no afk minnig for 60k xp/h theres powermining/dropping for 40k xp/h :p

Nobody should be complaining about a lack of content before their account is even decent. And I believe theres only a few people who are even close to running out of things to train considering how new the server is.
Just an opinion and I know most will disagree, just tossing it out there.

It's supposed to be rare! That's the dumbest suggestion I've ever seen, let's just give them to everyone and call it RARE.

NO, I don't even agree with it showing up again at Halloween... What's the point of a RARE if everyone has one?

Wow someone is freaking upset other people might get what he has! Dang it jagex how could you do this????????

I have yet to find a Scythe, it's pretty common sense that keeping something rare would to not drop it twice in a world. What's the point of a rare if it isn't rare? It's just another item in the game everyone has. I am still on the search for a Scythe, don't take me as a kid with a Scythe on 4 account, speculation gets you no where in life.

So basically jagex is changing 07 scape into a variation of 11 scape?

why not just make it 11 scape but different 'themed' world for different years of rs released data? like how there are f2p worlds on 07scape.

i for one would love to see the dungeoneering like it was in its hay-day.
