I am not here to talk about positive or negatives of a GE.

I am trying to show you that the laziness of "we need to know you will like it before we work on it" is absolutely redundant!

People do not know what they like without trying it. I tell people all the time i do not like mustard. I have never eaten mustard but I say i dislike it. So if you made me a sandwich and asked me what do I want on it I will NEVER say mustard. However you make me a sandwich and put mustard on it, Without having me tell u what I want I just may find that hey i actually like it.

The point I tried to make there is that YOU ARE THE DEVELOPERS! NOT US!!! I can tell that in some of your posts that you are not looking forward to having a GE. (that is the impression i get from reading some but not all of your developers forum posts)



Fair enough, i'm super pro GE, but I can see when points are made.

But the trend of people voting for things that make game easier, and the constant down voting of things that will make game anymore difficult.

I mean I have voted for things that make game easier. But mostly I wanted those updates from beginning.

Such as,
Slayer helm was very nice addition that I love and can not imagine playing without.
Slayer points also got added in i believe?
ROOFTOP AGILITY( no more dorgeshunn remembering right piece to bring back)
Smith "X" AMOUNT
and many more.

I am still upset that i can not imbune ring of gods and I do believe that calling it ring of gods and having it not work as any gods item is pretty redundant.

Nevertheless I understand that would make gwd kc much easier and the prayer bonus would be really strong so I think since we do not have it we do not need it.

All the updates that pass are usually quality of life(easier to use)
or easier exp/money/trade.

I understand you do not want to work for months on the trade post to still have people say GE GE GE GE GE. BUT that is the job you are in and get paid to do. HOWEVER what you have done by giving up on trade post so easily is opened the wrong door, that will never close.

Then we have a bunch of people who are either illiterate or to lazy to read a developer blog see the words "Grand Exchange" and bam that is their vote. The trading post by what you have offered in the blogs would be an active GE replica. WITHOUT 1 MAJOR PROBLEM THE GE HAS. OFFLINE TRADE!!!!! Offline trade is one of the major issue I have found when we discuss the GE. Many players overlook it.
You have said that the trading post will literally be a GE without offline trade. NOW WHY have you not just gone ahead and tried it. YOU ****** UP! Why oh why oh why? Did you go from trading post then 1 month later just can that idea and be like okay this might be to much work and players will still complain. LETS JUST SHUT THEM UP AND GIVE THEM A GE. When the Grand ******* Exhange... GF OSRS NICE KNOWING YOU!

RS3 had some serious things that happend from 6/6/06 to the day the wild died, to trade limits, to god knows what else, BUT all of those bumps in the road led to what is now an undeniably profiting and growing game. I was going to edit my second post because I found it did not end with what I wanted to say and i got away from my point a little. Also it ended a little rude and harsh. But I will leave it be and finish statement here.

I love OSRS whether u have GE or not i will love your game. I am just scared of what can happen if this is how things keep being done in the way they are now. So if you honestly feel that this is the best way to do things I trust in you. Just at the moment I feel that voting is overrated and that you guys can make good decisions without relying on us. However this is the game you have made and if this is how you want it to be done, then that's that lets just move on and let you work on what you want to do next! I WILL CONTINUE TO PLAY SINCE I LOVE THIS GAME AND I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Just wanted to tell you how I honestly felt at the moment about what i have read from you guys.

Very bad idea to include G.E; Same thing that happened to the live game will happen to this game. The Trade Worlds are a very big part of this game. It may not seem like it ... but you will miss it when it's gone. Once G.E is in the game, there will be fc's that will try to control the prices... just like in the live game. What is the purpose of making a separate version of the game .. if you are just gonna take the same route as you did in the live game?

The Trading Post has a lot of potential. If you add G.E, it'll just kill off the other towns just like in the live game. Interacting with each other is really good for the game. I have a completionist cape in the live game so I actually know what it's like. Trust me when I say this.. you're making a mistake by even polling this. Continue working on the trading post. Having people buying/selling items blind will just give the wealthy players more control over the market.

The FC's don't work at all. They're all rigged. Why do you think when ranks conflict a price, they kick you immediately? You're messing up their profits. Anyone that think they're doing this to help anyone else but themselves have been fooled.

All this does is make it way too easy for merchants to merc*. They can make cash by not even playing the game. Just put an offer in, stay offline for like a week .. come back & sell for more.

Please cancel this poll. Many people like the way OSRS is now. Please no G.E. †

OK I'm against GE , like uber against it but i guess is people want Convenience updates , they simply do not understand this game well enough and further to that point if jagex are willing to implement them i can see this game going to the dumps just like rs3.

PROS :
1. Convenience
CONS:
1.Loss of player control to prices of items
2.Reduction in prices of low tiered/ non-member items
3.Easier to get 99 in lots of skills without leaving GE
4.Merhcant Clans mass manipulating prices
5.Loss of communication between players
6.Lost of original merchanting community

Feel free to add more if ive missed anything. But IMHO convenience updates are never good updates
