I'm not happy about the Grand Exchange being polled, seeing as the poll for offline trading numerous weeks ago was shot down by a rather significant margin. Additionally, it has been such a short amount of time since the current trading post was implemented, eliminating the need to use third party item exchanging websites in order to find other players to buy or sell OSRS items. Pretty much no modifications or basic fixes have even been made to the trading post since it was updated into the game. Why don't trade offers go offline when a players chat filter is set to friends only or offline?
The dragon defender and the other patches seem to be okay, but I believe adding the Grand Exchange will result essentially the same way it did when it was added to RS3. The games economy was heavily manipulated by merchanting, and the prices of raw items like logs and ores crashed heavily. The need to go out and collect items like that for yourself becomes essentially nothing. Many skills like cooking, fletching and firemaking become extraordinarily devalued when it becomes easy to buy lots of these items in a short period of time.
Also, the scamming argument is completely rediculous. It takes less than five seconds to check the second trade window. Learn from your mistakes and stop being so impulsive.
