I doubt if anyone of importance in the jagex company reads any of the comments on this forum, but if they are reading this. Beware. This could be the year you ruin OSRS dont make the same mistakes you made with eoc.
Dont update the game to the point it no longer has the nostalgia feel it was ment to have
"March is tentatively when we would like to give you resizable mode. However, resizable mode is a very technically challenging project and there are likely to be numerous as yet unknown roadblocks we will need to overcome. So, although with our best intentions we will like to give you resizable mode in March, it may slip depending on the roadblocks."
Please, don't. I understand making new content and everything else to keep the game feeling fresh but this is one of the things that keeps Oldschool really Oldschool. Making the game resizable in the sense where you can just make the game take up a larger portion of the screen would be fine for those that want the game to take up more of their screen (I understand, it is a fairly small client compared to most games these days) but I
beg
you Jagex, don't make the actual resolution bigger where you can see more the larger you make your game.
I feel like it is unfair to those who prefer the current screen layout and resolution, like myself, and we will be put at a disadvantage especially in pvp where others would be able to see a lot more ahead of them while still being at a decent camera angle.
Basically, I don't want to be put at a disadvantage for using what feels comfortable to me as a truly oldschool player.

Also, Grand Exchange is not needed at all in old school. The trading post would be perfect with two things in my honest opinion:
1) Add buy offers. It's a trading post, right? Trading includes buying and selling, right? Then why not have both options. You could even add a coin pouch-like function where you have to deposit the amount of gp you put up in the buy offer, and then you use that to buy the item. Similar to the way you guys made selling items work, but with gp instead.
2) Make sure when you post an offer, your private is on, or at least have something flash in red when making the offer warning you if your private is off or on friends.
Also, contrary to what many people say, not everyone is trying to manipulate prices by having prices lower and private off. The trading post tells you what world the player is in, I've joined that world and found them common town, and they actually sold their items to me. Simply forgot to turn on private. Hell, I've done that before, it's really easy to forget.
This solves what I believe to be all problems with the trading post.

I think for number two, it should also be implemented that if your private is off, so is your trading post offers. If your private is on friends only friends can see it.
Couldn't they could use the same toggle switch we use to control our private chat and make that also control who see's our offers on the post?

These are pretty good, haha.
I'm not too sure about implementing buying offers, but the second idea definately.
I have more to say than the number of characters each post can hold... lol
I will return with input but a recent real life issue will be slowing my response.
Happy
New
Year
to all and by all means... have fun !
That is an order ! lol (jest being fun an silly as usual) but I'm serious about having fun... let OSRS "Be" OSRS and allow what was in place in 2007 be here once more (with appropriate "fixes"
and move forward while still being in the past

I can already see a problem coming with some wanting to just update the Trading Post and some wanting to get a Grand Exchange. I like both ideas but how are you going to be able to slim it down to one or the other without failing both in the end? If you have a vote for one or the other, you then split the people in half that want auto trading and the the people that don't want any auto trading will come in and win the vote on both and trading ends up in the toilet again.....
