dat logic tho

An interesting line of thought, albeit not mine (the only connection I drew between the creation of RWTScape and achievement diary rewards is that both contributed to mainline RS becoming easier and more focused on instant gratification). Rereading my original post, I'm now willing to accept that this may have been an honest misunderstanding on your part that stems from the hurried way I phrased my post. Since the only alternative is that you are both intellectually dishonest liars, I hope I'm right about the former. (Either way, you're still annoying cherry pickers since this train of thought has nothing to do with the point of my original post, but I suppose this is par for the course for people whose vocabulary consists entirely of montage parody memes.)

actually, it might have more to do than you think. England used tanks in ww1 and as a result they help to win the war. the damage to Germany's economy was what lead to the creation of the Third-Reich, so it could be said that automobiles did lead to ww2.
frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

The same could be said for the invention of boots and guns. :P

Anyway @ Janaak,

I've been playing since 2005, and I honestly don't recall achievement diaries ever harming the game...

The whole point of such rewards like the battlestaff thing is to reward players who participate in those hard-earned rewards. :P

The poll results for the achievement diary cape and diaries benefits are looking very positive. Since we're not getting a max cape anytime soon, the achievement diary cape will be a much welcomed addition.

My opinions:
The rewards are really similar to before, which I find slightly disappointing, but not really a problem. Some of the small changes are nice, and the wider variety of areas is good.

One, for the crystal halberd to have no special attack, degrade the same way as other crystal gear, and, well, be a halberd, it sounds like it's not going to have much use. I never see anyone use a halberd except at low levels for quest bosses, or at high levels with the dragon halberd, and only for its special attack. I like halberds, but if it's not going to have a use as a spec weapon, and won't have usability beyond any other halberd for safespotting (when safespotting, damage dealt doesn't matter as much, after all), and it won't be better for general combat than say, a godsword, or even a whip, because we all know faster tends to be better, what really would anyone use it for? Not to mention limited styles because halberd.

All I really have to say is, I would like the rewards to not be utterly useless in combat this time around, not asking best in slot, but for all the effort, all the stat training, the costs of those stats, and the quest requirements it takes (or took last time anyway) to get these things, elite equipment shouldn't have level 30-40 stats. There should be something for more than just skillers in this content.

There would be more incentive for a wider part of the player base to engage in this content if it wasn't so skiller-centric.When the best gear in the game requires nothing but stats and money, why not just take the two weeks or whatever it would take to get 70's and buy barrows and a whip? And then things like the achievement diary gear take a phenomenal amount of time, money, and dedication and we're awarded with freaking flax. When a player could bot and buy money for the best gear, why is something that requires so much effort useless in comparison?

If the Wilderness Sword doesn't have at least level 60 stats, I will be just so disappoint.

all these rewards seem extremely overpowered to me

Remember, instead of dismissing something as quickly as that, it's better to explain why you're dismissing it - give your full opinion, what you think is overpowered, how they could be rebalanced, etc... Until then it's a pretty pointless post.

Cant find the enhanced Excalibur reward anywhere it used to be a hard reward of the original seers diary You talked to the lady of the lake wearing your seers headgear and she upgraded it.

The upgrade was then improved once the elite seers was completed.

Please consider putting this back in it was really handy.
