I like this idea of making it untradeable. It could be an awesome way to show off..
But scales would be useless if it wasn't degradeable.

Or maybe like port armour.. Untradeable and tradeable versinos of the same item? I really love this concept in RS2.


+1 I loved that aspect of the player owned ports armour.

While this could be an item sink.. It is an horrible idea. What does a crystal bow have in common with a blowpipe? At least try to make it semi-logical.

Just a guess here about the boss mechanics but by the sounds of how the first post is worded I would guess that the snake will have 3 forms that it changes between randomly. Maybe by colour of the skin or a certain feature, will show that a certain attack style it will use will cause more damage (even though it will probably use all 3 attack styles for each form it has). When it changes to a certain form, then people trying to kill it will only be able to use 2 attack forms. For example when it goes super dark green then its magic attacks will become stronger and you won't be able to use range against it. When it's light green then its range attacks will become stronger and you won't be able to use melee against it. When its somewhere in between then its melee attacks will become stronger and you won't be able to use magic. This would mean that during the fight it will probably change between the forms at random and thus 1 attack style will become obsolete for 1/3 of the battle which is why 2 attack styles would be required.

That's just a guess, probably completely wrong, but something like that would be an interesting feature. It would also be nice if magic became more prevalent with the release of this boss. Perhaps each form would be weak to a certain attack style whilst blocking 1 style, that would mean that people may use magic for some of the fight instead of just range and melee.

Also I would hope that a pet would be added, as with other bosses. Perhaps if I'm right with my theory about changing forms subtly then have 3 pets all with the same odds, instead of another pet like the KQ. Give it 3 pets with more chance to get each maybe.

I'll probably vote yes for everything. Especially the construction update, would make construction a lot less monotonous which will be nice for when I go for 99 :D

Only worry is that the Fang will be a drop that will be a lot less valuable than the other 2 drops due to magic being underused but only time will tell really.

Taint the crystal bow with the snake's magically strong venom.
