We are always open to offering new mechanics that bring something new to combat, if the community suggests and supports new mechanics then they are definitely possible.
What is going to be in place so that these new weapons are not used to abuse other game mechanics? Such as using the poison on corp then waiting outside until it dies much like how the first abysmal demon was killed back in the day to get the first whip? And if the poison is not meant to ever work on mobs or bosses what point do they serve outside of pking? Tough questions i know but some concerns i have with this new poison that just does more damage over time and does not go away unless cured.
Any bosses/mobs where this can be abused will be poison immune.
Thought i'd add a link here to ronan talking about the poison. So this update does appear more towards a new pking weapon choice then anything else. The poison robs potential exp from mobs so that rules them out and bosses are out due to the above post so what will these weapons be used for mainly? I would say just another pking update.
