So because we are constantly being bombarded with "come up with ideas for making firemaking useful", I actually came up with a very small idea that I would find acceptable. Shortcuts basically. Currently they are based on Agility with a side order of range and some strength. I thought of it because of the "high strength and agility" to enter the volcano, and thought, that's a bit dumb and overused isn't it? Firemaking seems logical in the area of a volcano. So I think it would be a good idea to make a higher firemaking a requirement in the volcano, perhaps going up in requirement as you go further. It would also be nice to see some firemaking/agility shortcuts in other areas of runescape. Or perhaps an entirely new way to travel with firemaking(that uses laws and magics?), or something better built onto the balloons perhaps.

I love the current state of firemaking, and I love it being useless, However seeing that everyone seems to push to make it useful, I think a way that simply makes it "a little bit" more worth doing to the 80-90s would satisfy people.

Being a veteran of 2006, I believe this update has a lot of potential. However, I don't want the game to lose it's nostalgic feel. The continent should be a nice addition to help a growing player base. I would like to say that the Colosseum idea is brilliant.
But I do have a few ideas,

As I read, there was a clan that favored Slayer, however, I believe that you can change it to Bounty Hunting instead.

Then you can get rid of the bounty hunter world and bring back the nostalgic bounty hunter craters.

Instead of the clan assigning you slayer tasks, it would assign you Bounty Hunting tasks, where a player can be assigned to kill X amount of players to receive a great reward that will be used ONLY in bounty hunter craters. Maybe a pair of dragon claws? That's just an idea, but certainly adding a new weapon or gear will intrigue and motivate players to use the bounty hunter craters.


I have a ton more ideas, but this is just one. Give it a read, let me know what you think!!

I am a veteran from 2006 and love to see the game getting better. :) :)

This is one of the VERY few posts I've made on the forums giving my opinion on the content because up until now I've felt indifferent about them. Not to say I haven't read them all, trust me I have but to this whole new continent known as Zeah I just have to give a big resounding yes! Yes! YES! every idea presented is incredible

If anyone of the devs or mods or any higher ups is reading this post then I just have to say thank you for the preview to the new content

RS3 already has those things. I'd rather not remake what's already accessible in the other game. Originality is what's going to keep this game alive, not porting existing content to play for a few days. Everything stated here is forwarded from a major corporation. Nothing here is my opinion. Enjoy your salad.
