Sounds very promising :)

Two things:
I think that a marketplace/Grand Exchange would be good as well. I'm not sure how it could function because I had a lot of problems with the last one, however it did make trading much less tedious (the waiting, hopping, constantly having to type to appear over bots etc)

Please don't make any updates which are only intended for a group of friends. I have been since about 2004 (so long ago I don't remember exactly when any more) and I'm not sure whether I suffer from social anxiety or what but I just don't seem to make friends on the game or play with them. I am a member of many forums, and I could but I just don't want to, I like playing on my own. I used to play with a couple of friends from IRL but they have quit a long time ago and I can't convince them to get back into it..

Anyway, PLEASE KEEP THE PLAYER INVOLVED ALWAYS. That's the whole reason I had to quit RS3 and I'm now having to get all the same skills again..

I like the idea of raising my own animals, but i have a few wonders.

1-will this be an extension of the farming skill or a whole new skill entirely?

It could be a cross-hybrid with the farming and construction skills, the farming bit comes in with looked after, caring for and feeding of the animals, giving slow but cheaper xp, whereas the construction comes in expensive (as always with construction) where you have to build your own pens and areas for your animals, and with better equipment created with construction you can increase the xp gains for farming, creating a nice and healthy cross-hybrid way of training two skills with one method. of course these xp rates for the construction side will be increased due it being expensive.
There could possibly be the danger of your animals dieing if you leave them for too long (of course the timer only continues while you're logged into the game so your animals don't die while you're on holiday etc) this can force players to be continuously watching this skill and a simple punishment for neglecting your animals.

Thanks for the read, Fiism.

Fantastic stuff. I'm definitely looking forward to it guys.

The elimination of bots, predominantly RWT trading bots in World 1, will serve as a valuable improvement to the overall OSRS player community. Additionally, increased player interaction and community engagement (e.g., while skilling) should serve to encourage player cooperation and rekindle the "old community" that many people long for. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

Lastly, a huge welcome for Mod John C to the OSRS Team at Jagex! :)

Bots are a BIG problem. I saw the same bot in the mining guild for over a week and reported it each day. The tree cutter bots are worse. I would love to see something done about that.

Trading is a nightmare most of the time. I see lots of people with negative comments about the G.E. but lots of people are also using *****.*** just like a G.E. The only difference is bez is a website and the G.E. was in-game. I do think something should be done about making trading easier then standing in the bank trying to figure out who is doing what.

So, if broad bolts are here because slayers didn't want to be forced to pay a greedy smither for ammo shouldn't you add whips to an npc shop at 200k so that we don't have to be forced to pay some greedy slayer for one or train high enough to get it for free?

Broad bolts are equal to adamant, not mith, and I wouldn't wish cannonball making on my worst enemy.

It doesn't matter the level to make a bolt or gain a whip the point remains, if I want the advantage that training a skill gives me be it slayer or smithing why should that advantage I have earned be taken away by an update that rewards a different group for NOT training because they don't wish to pay the price of not training?

Imho, broad bolts should have required 73 smithing and

Your opinion is biased because you are 97 smithing and lvl 9 slayer. Broad bolts are here for a cost effective way of training range for people. You have no right to downplay the fact that smithers are extremely greedy. For several months you charged people 170gp for mithril bolts. 400gp for addy bolts? Hold that. Now that broad bolts are out, you smithers have no choice but to hold that. Nobody cares about your honest opinion. Differing opinions are the reason we have polls to gauge what the community wants as a whole. Now that broad bolts have been passed and implemented into the game, you need to stop crying and hold that.

Everything sounds great! Looking forward to the future of oldschool. Something needs to be done with this trading system we have in W1. Glad to see Jagex putting in some great poll ideas. Keep up the good work!
