All of these look good

i am not a PKER i never have been, but i will vote yes because if i was a pker i would think these updates where good

NO to cosmetic DPICK

However i don't think having cosmitic items part of pking is a bit unfair, for example the dragon pick axe, i understand if its weapon cosmetic but not for other skilling items.

Dragon axe comes from pvm. That's unfair only skillers should get it. (Sarcasm)

Armadyl Godsword comes from pvm. You shouldn't be able to use it for pking. (Sarcasm)

Sharks come from skilling. It's unfair that ppl who don't fish them can use them for pking. (Sarcasm)






Let's think about this logic. It's not only pkers that can get the cosmetic upgrades. Skillers just have to buy it from them. Much like pkers buy sharks and potions etc...

BH Thoughts

No more cosmetics! At least from BH rewards! Really like the Tear, the Hardened Gmaul. Give it a 50 def req, give it +4 more str bonus, and +15 crush def. Make Dragon Defender a degradable item that makes you rune defender disappear after 10k hits/damages. Rework the bolt spec ring, repoll it please.

Corp Thoughts
Definitely add Ely, Spec, and Arcane, because I couldn't see another big item/s passing instead of those 3 shields.

Other Update Thoughts
Add either a dragon javelin or dragon throwing axe, from a grand master solo quest boss LIKE Tormented Demons and WGS.
Add a Rare ranging amulet aswell with 5% damage increase to bolt specs or some other balanced bonus awell as +15 or more range bonus.

I've seen some people asking for the hardened granite maul as a weapon with a defence requirement

Why not add a new special attack weapon for range?

Instead of making the "new" granite maul have defence which in my opinion would be a terrible idea. You should make the maul "difficult" to handle without special "granite" gloves which could require 55 defence. In combination there could be special boosts to how the granite maul works. This would also replace Culinaromancer's Gloves which can be up to +12 strength boost. The new maul could sacrifice defence and strength and have a much higher attack bonus. Without the gloves on it could be weak in defence and accuracy. Tweak up this idea and make it happen :)

2.
You want an awesome range special attack how about an upgrade crystal bow requiring 90 ranged and 90 agility. This would be an object which can be used on the existing crystal seed to make a new upgraded crystal seed. The special would be similar to a barrage/burst dealing damage in a 3x3 square. The special would shoot up in the air and rain down. This would NOT be overpowered as Ice Barrage also freezes players. Then for NPC's it can work like a Dragon Halberd dealing +1 more damage per server cycle for the width of the npc.

For cosmetics just make it client side so when you switch between standard / updated only you get to see the new looks. This would be the most ideal way to integrate it in my opinion and this way I don't have to wonder what new items are and then to find out it's just an updated version of something else.

What's the problem with Range ?

Range isnt that "Op" as you guys say, it's not fun anymore to go Pking... Why is that ? Because Void doesnt give that much Def Bonus

What's the poing of pking if i risk more than my oponent? and tbh , Melee Pkers risk untradables most of the time that gives range def bonus too

It's pretty much a hard decision to make
1) Armadyl Cbow = Bad shield + No Spec Weapon
2) Rune Cbow = Good shield / Spec Weapon (Dark Bow)

"What About Dragon Bolts (e)?"
Dragon Bolts (e) are awesome, but ... What happens when your oponent drinks Antifire Potion Or got Dragonfire shield / Anti Dragon Shield as Shields?
There's no Spec. of the enchanted bolt then... becoming useless

Btw we're talking about Dark Bow... Why not adding more Spec. Weap. for range ? it became boring to use Dark Bow only, and let's be fair ... What's the point risking Dark Bow if your oponnent got a Dragon Dagger as Spec. Weap?

1x Spec + No shield
Vs.
4x Spec + Shield/Rune Defender

I agree 100% i think there should be handcannon or something equal range is totally dominated by melee in gear/prayer

I wouldn't mind new range weapons and prayers, because range is always lacking behind for updates but, melee is supposed to be better then range.
Rigour and Augury would be nice update for rangers, I would like to see that come into game by means of a quest/mingame/other.
