I'd love to see the corp released. but as for requirements, how about a miniquest in order to access it. it would have certain requirements, like killing some hard bosses or something like that; basically something like the miniquest you have to complete to access the abyss. this way it would be more about a players PvE skill rather that their cb level.

as for the spirit shields, how about this:
The sigils themselves and the shields they create are of course tradable, but dont have their special effects, BUT you can give them their old special effect(and maybe some new ones) by combining them with and untradable rare thats only dropped by the corp(and maybe some other high level monsters/bosses). combining this special item not only gives the shield its special effect, but also raises the lvl requirements AND makes the shield untradable, so only the best and most devoted players can get them, and not just simply buy them. you would still be able able to unequip the special item to make the shield tradable once again, and if thats not enough maybe this special item degrades as you use it and dissappears, reverting the shield back to its special-less form.

also, i feel like you should be able to make more than just shields with the sigils, and also think it would be pretty neat to be able to combine the sigils, along with a number of rare untradable "bonding" items, to create an entirely new sigil with greater potency than the others.

No to corp and spirit shield

Get out of here level 81, you're a prime example of why the corp poll should be restricted to level 110+ players, anyone else will just vote no out of spite and because they're too bad to ever manage to get to corp.

I took a quick look at your stats ... did you even do corp once in the original game because your stats on rs3 are plain terrible no way you would have corp'ed with these stats.

No, on this account I have never corped. I quit rs in 2012 due to irl things, came back in mid 2013, realised osrs was out, tried getting on my old account and realised i'd either been hacked or id forgotten my details, I'm still not completely sure. I then made this account, I got it's stats up to beable to do the bosses that I used to love. I also started training up my rs3 account a bit, doing some afk things, but in the end I got bored and decided to stick to 07. Happy now?

Edit : My pre eoc account was level 99 in all combat stats, around 2k total, just incase you were wondering. So yes, I have corped.

The requirement to access the beast should be over 200 quest points, there is already a quest requirement of 200 to block another slayer monster and I think that tier should be overcame considering a difficult quest would nonetheless be involved. A minimum combat requirement of 115 and over would be lovely as to only allow true warriors to enter and access the boss. As for what the beast drops, I am opposed to the 4 different tier shields as they would lower the value of other shields in their class that were recently released and render some item that are hunted from certain boss' useless once more.

One item I would like to note that lacks a highest tier would be the helmet! We have the fire cape, dragon boots require 83 slayer to obtain--infinity boots--ranger boots from medium clues. We have new mage and range shields, not to mention the rare dragonfire shield. We have weapons from god swords to kraken whips. Bandos, armadyl armour are both triumphant--we have a very cheap ahrim's set though I'll throw that in. Fury amulets do the trick. What's missing?

THE HELMET.

The Corpereal [Bone?] Helmet.

6 pieces required to construct this beautiful piece of headgear.

Why 6? 3 to construct the base and 3 different additional pieces used to construct their combat style; magic, ranged and melee based. Once they are attached there is no way to remove them and change the style of your helmet--you must build a new one or buy one!

How could these helmets become even more rare and worth the time it takes to slay this nostalgic beast? BARE with me: the 3 shards required to build the base of your helmet being untrade-able? This way you know you can't just buy this bad boy with your money you need to spend the time to actually acquire this unique item yourself!

Revising my post and after closely reading some prior to mine. I don't believe in a combat requirement being instilled. Old Republic said :

just as was mine in pre-eoc , 2330 total, i have corped plenty of time and i would not like to see it come to OSRS. It was fun in pre-eoc but i just dont think itd be good to have it in osrs

I still strongly support a high quest point requirement! Or like a previously suggested requirement a long quest with some random but important quest requirements like 80 fire making to let's say.. Light the cave the corp beast resides in. a skill like fire making could really find itself a reason to be levelled up!

Basically my finalized idea would be a quest completion instead of a quest point requirement. Content big like this could use a big requirement. This quest doesn't necessarily need to be complex, but the requirements to even start it could be.

Some examples:
-barrows gloves unlocked (minimum of 175 qp right there)
-fairy tale part I and II (use fairy rings throughout the quest)
-other quests could be tackled on for whatever reason.
-80 clenching (during the quest you need to light up the corp beast cave with specially crafted torches requiring 80 fletching)
-80 fire making (to light a fire to these torches)
-75 woodcutting (cut the special logs for the torches)
-xx agility (some sort of agility shortcut)
-xx thieving (steal the research papers discussing the possibility of the corp beast)

Quest starts at the varrock museum archeologist site!

Corp beast still dropping my helmet suggestion.
