please stop putting mtx updates like this on the front page unless there is a cosmetic update.. makes the game look so mtx filled if its like a promotion like this but when its cosmetics and there are pictures and someone new sees it then they can get a small taste of some of the art style in the game, id also think its probably beter for them to see a list of updates and some cosmetic mtx updates rather then a ton of th mtx updates and a couple updates, it just makes it look like mtx takes the head stage in devolpment to a new player when we all know a lot of this stuff is just recycled. maybe just post it on the forums. I hope a mod reads this and passes it on to the team. my the way I don't mind mtx at all I know in rs th is literally just to lessen the grind nothing more because it costs a ton to get a max acc with it and that is something that should never change. but I really wish u guys would make some more sick cosmetics its been awile since something cool came out, maybe take some inspiration from some other mmos or rpgs, I think a lot of ppl would love a sick new melle cosmetic set that's black with skulls on it and black smoke wafting of it with red glowing eyes in the main skulls eye with like some hammer weapon with a long grip and inside of the hammer is a glowing piece of metal that is held in by bars, that would be so sickkkkkkk

I can't use my hearts of ice during this "promotion?" REALLY???? WHY would I freakin' want 5X stars in a skill I ALREADY HAVE 200 MILL XP IN?????? You can take this promo and shove it. I am boycotting Treasure Hunter - I will buy no keys until you stop shoving crap on me that I have absolutely no use for and giving me no chance to opt out of it. (For the record I don't consider 50 oddments an adequate replacement for 5 medium stars in a skill I have gotten to 200 mill.) I'll buy books on Amazon instead or beer to drink while I'm fuming. Can't use all those hearts of ice I gathered while buying your dumb keys because thanks to Treasure Hunter I can't be the least bit competitive in this game without bonus xp. After 16 years I may actually quit this game that I used to love. THANKS JAGEX!

Well i guess you wont ever care about xp gains because TH is not going anywhere anytime soon. Also i find your idea of removing TH abruptly very naive. If they did, what would garuntee jagex profit from membership revenue? increasing membership prices perhaps? But players can just buy membership with bonds so membership revenue wont hold it afloat for very long.

As for general content being released into the game, the game devs and TH team are two seperate dev teams. They could relocate that manpower to make more content for the game but would that still make jagex enough revenue from membership concidering bond paid membership?

With the right price, you can sell a lot more things to people, and removing TH would bring the monetization of this game down to a level where you'd once again get a more complete and immersive experience with membership alone, rather than also having to buy TH keys. RS3 right now is one of those games that has overall a good base of a game, but one which is clearly overpriced (which is why there has been a steady decline in playerbase since 2015).

Not sure what you got against membership received from bonds; it's pretty much like a more expensive membership option, because a month of membership bought via bonds costs more real money than a month of membership bought regularly, but the difference is that with bonds, you can pay with gp so that somebody else pays the real money price instead (and gets some gp in return for doing so). In fact, not having bonds would probably lead to a decrease in revenue gained for membership sales, because it'd mean that the players buying bonds with gp potentially wouldn't be able to pay for membership anymore in any way, even though the membership they bought was classified as MTX revenue in the financial documents (because the real money was paid for a bond, not for what the bond was redeemed for).

If anything its just going to remove "Hey, you can buy xp if you're too lazy to train anything yourself", which can be ignored anyways. TH isnt breaking immersion, for long, and does not change gameplay. It's just a symptom of a declining playerbase. I'd suggest that they gradually decrease the amout of TH and increase the amount of content to see if that helps with revenue, atleats then they wont shoot themselves in the foot by alienating a source of revenue.

This quote thing sucks, just appeared as a wall of text.

TH is the symptom of the natural evolution of the playerbase from "student:I-have-all-the-time-in-the-world-to-grind-but-not-the-money" to "worker:I-have-more-money-and-less-time-please-let-me-access-and-buy-xp-instead-of-grinding".

Blackhawk belongs evidently to the first category or is a much less represented member of the category against the second one.
