Does 2X prize not mean 2?

There are definitely bugs in treasure hunter. Which is why I am visiting the forums today. During the double dragon promotion where you can receive up to 10 X your prize I got a purple prize (1st time too) & I had to choose between 2 lucky chaotic crossbows or 2 lucky off hand chaotic rapiers or 2 lucky chaotic staffs. As you may imagine it took a while to make the decision & since I was in the middle of training I chose to send 2X I say 2X lucky chaotic staffs to my bank. So I was quite surprised when I checked I only had 1! WTH? So I got ripped off for a lucky chaotic staff. Even though yes I can't trade them & only need 1 but I could have used up one & still had another fully charged. So yes I'm a little upset about that. Previously I have lost keys or they disappeared from one day to the next. Now this may have been due to being over tired & too many drinks but I had a bunch of keys & was keeping 25 but when I logged in the next day I only had 20. That may have been my mistake but why did my prize say double items but I only got 1? ??

This happened to me too but with skilling outfit items. I don't think this is a bug, rather the game intends for your character to only ever need one of these items. It seems to me like there's something technical going on behind the scenes and I don't think these promotional events will change that.

It's intentional that you can't keep duplicates of unique items. (lucky weapons, skilling outfit pieces, etc).

Duplicates should automatically convert to oddments at the rate one would get extra when converting your prize. I say should as this is sadly not always the case, causing the duplicates to be gone without any value. You should report this as a bug when this happens.

Thanks for the replies. I'd like to hear from Jagex. There seems to be a lot of bugs lately. Although lately for me or rather this account is only a few months. I tried to do an evil tree this morning & it was as if it wasn't there although it clearly was with the leprechaun jumping around & other players wondering why they couldn't interact with it also. I guess I should have reported that as a bug too but I always figure they have to know about it & me pointing it out isn't going o change anything. But thanks for the advice to report these things as bugs.
