to us runescape is simply a game, to jagex its a business that feeds over 300 employees. whats exactly wrong with them looking to maximize profits? because ppl cry that their achievements mean nothing? lawl "all we are is dust in the wind"

For one of the first experiments we will not be running second-chance-Tuesday for the rest of the year.
We saw buried treasure again… Interested what promotions will get a third-change-Tuesday.

We commit to keeping a detailed eye on the game economy and progression rates to ensure promotions aren’t going to cause major impact.
So you didn’t saw the impact coming of the crash of the Rubber turkey? I encourage releasing untradeable discontinuous items and am willing to buy spins for them. Also I like the idea of several discontinuous item sets like the Christmas set, Santa set, Mimic set. But with releasing previous discontinuous items you make people hesitate to ever buy spins or the items themselves and let them crash severe. You also encourage players to scam other players who don’t realize the items crashed huge. Make us enjoy your game again!

And to help in the longer term, we are starting a rework of Treasure Hunter, which will have greater emphasis on cosmetics and conveniences.
We saw the results of the rework of SOF to TH, more promotions! I am not an open wallet you can easily empty with 3 promotions each week.

It is important that we don’t over-promise; to be clear, this doesn’t mean the end of Treasure Hunter promotions. What we are committing to is better managing their impact, duration and regularity, making some immediate changes in the short term while looking to move to a more balanced approach in the mid to long term.
Thank you for pointing to this. Since we see releasing previous released discontinuous items, crashed item prices we can conclude for ourselves what this promise means for the players in game. I hope MTX will bring Jagex what it needs for the future of RuneScape. Since I don’t like the way RuneScape is going I didn’t renew my subscription and the 450 treasure hunter keys I already bought last ½ year seemed a bad bargain.

I wouldn't show my face back here either, given that the promo contradicted what was said two days after the post came out, making him look like a buffoon.

This was a new low in showing how insincere they are about communication and listening to us.

they suck at communication, but they aren't stupid. They contradict themselves, but even more so do the players.

Elitists want everything and more and don't care what any majority of people want, and the people who make up the majority in the situations we see want this game to be better made for all players, instead of just catering to the small portion of tryhards.

Jagex cannot please both, but they made a right decision in saying they plan on slowing their useless content promotions. New promotions are welcome still and are to be expected, but lets just hope they figure out what matters first. They could do polls, but tbh those don't work well. They could ask people to do surveys, but I already said why those don't work well.

As long as Jagex only offers us content they are planning on doing anyway, the polls are useless. I see a lot of people saying they plan to quit for really stupid reasons unrelated to this monetization, like discontinued status not being as promising as they think it should be. And then they complain when Jagex stops catering to them.

Jagex can never make perfect important updates that every player will like. except for holiday items that were originally released to everybody, or new armors and weapons that people could try out, or new low/middle-tier bosses that give people basic experience in pvm. or even more quests.

Those always made people happy regardless if they made profit or not, because content like that matters more than cosmetic outfits being sold and not guaranteed on TH.

Occasional content that is released in a limited quantity is no issue, like golden barrows, but to expect them to keep that quantity for the remainder of their games existence is asinine.

Cater to more people and you will gain the support and trust of more people. Don't cater to entitled elitists who only worry about themselves or the things they own.
Your opinions here can affect us all. Please post for the better

Would like to state this statement is bullshit.

"No more 2nd chance Tuesday" You knew that when this statement was issued as it was so delayed you'd only have to miss out on a month of 2nd chance Tuesdays, aka 4 of them. Because at the end of the month will be the advent calendar, which will obviously be running on Tuesdays.

You're not really going to do anything about it, come the other side of the year it's gonna be the same bullshit promos and lack of content we've had this year.

Well actually I think the first step is to treat your addiction. I haven't touched most of the games in my steam library and I'm spending my time on that. Sometimes I log in to OSRS but then I feel bad and log in to RS3 only to find kids AFKing in Fist of Guthix then I go back to living life. Childhood is gone.

I'd like to wish the MTX team a very piss poor Christmas and terrible new year due to their greed.

All the daily promotions have been much harder then they originally were. Skilling outfits were yellow gems, now they are red. I'm doubting 2018 will be any better with MTX. It will morph into some other pile of shit and probably be even more annoying. At least with spins we got to punch the god damn goblin.

As for the premiere badges. I voted with my wallet for continued development. The real question for me is if I'll still be playing RS3 by the end of this year or abandon the sinking ship and go to OSRS. Jagex 2019 New Year Resolution... MTX our customers until RS3 SERVER SHUTDOWN PARTY!
The RS3 Community is treated like :@ RUBBISH :@ due to constant TH promotions.

Don't buy keys on Treasure Hunter, if you do Jagex will only make more TH promotions :(
