I understand wanting to help those who have yet to get the hat with this promotion, but I know myself and quite a few others who have spent keys would like back payment on that. Few people in my clan alone have spent money on keys over 400 some over 1000 keys and didn’t get the hat yet now you throw this on us. For those of use like myself who got keys and didn’t get the hat from TH like ew we’re hoping we deserve back payment now that you are guaranteeing the purple Santa have 400 keys when we have spent least double that. This is completely unfair and you’re out to just grab more money from those that tried earlier and still didn’t get it. Just for me to get the hat without using gp took 1.8 million papers. Which is insane and I only got it because I got 1 gold present. This is absolutely outrageous. Do better jagex.

This is absolute INSANITY... How have they not learned from the hero pass????? There is no way they add this bs now after so many people spent hard earned money and still came up empty.. I myself have spent nearly 2k TH keys and did not get a single one from the TH. I want either purple santa's that I would have gotten from all the keys spent during this current TH promo OR I want my money back for the keys I bought. How did they ever think this was gonna be ok and not get any pushback, ESPECIALLY after all the recent "drama" and feedback they have gotten!! ISTG a company should be legally liable for blatantly lying like they keep doing..

We were warned that they were going to be checking on the rates of the items coming into the game during this event, and this is not the first time they have made an item like this more easily accessible towards the end of the event.

In the future, if you want to guarantee yourself the prize, perhaps wait for later in the event to spend your money/keys. Alternatively, if you're an early bird, you can obtain the prize and sell it for a higher price before more enter the game.

You won't be getting any refunds here, sorry.

Where did they communicate this to begin with?

Checking up on the rates and perhaps adjusting them slightly is something totally different to making it actually GUARANTEED imo.

Maybe towards the end of the event or halfway through maybe sure but 3 days into the TH promo?! that's just dumb.. there's no way you can already see and decide the influx of santa's in the game in just 2 days of the promo like wtf? then they almost already knew the rate was shit and gonna be changed before the promo even started

Anyone who has played RS for an extended period of time knows that Jagex can and will change rates, whether they tell us about them or not. The fact that they said they were monitoring Black Party Hats means they are monitoring the event in general, therefore it can be presumed they are looking at Purple Santa Hats, Aurora Dyes, Soul Dyes, and everything else that can be earned in the event.

My understanding of "back payment" is some form of refund. As you have tried to get in early for what I presume is either prestige or profit, there will be no form of refund or back payment.

Purple Santa Hats have been in the game for three and a half weeks now. This is plenty of time for Jagex to get the data on how many have come in versus how many they wish to bring in.

Also, it's for every 400 keys spent. I'm hopeful that they have been counting and that we will all be closer to that 400 mark than we realise. However, it's more likely that we'll still be at 0-100. If so, it'll only be players like yourself who spend money on keys that will be getting these presents.

I'm sorry you feel hard done by. It's not the first time Jagex has done something like this, and it won't be the last.

Unfortunately I did not know Jagex did these things where they change drop rates and then make items guaranteed the last week. I have not played in 15 years. I used 1600+ keys and turned in hundreds of thousands of wrapping paper. Never got a Purple Santa Hat. Now that I am out of keys they are making it a 100% drop at 400 keys. I could have gotten 4 for sure. Yet I get 0. Sucks, def discourages me from continuing to play tbh. I came back after 15 years and was so excited for this event. I went ALL out and didnt get the one thing I wanted.
