AFAIK, not one single th newspost said anything about the rewards being "limited time only".

Yes the promo itself was time limited, but nothing about the rewards.

Heck you can still get the ocean archer outfit + weapon tokens on th.

There was no language regarding "limited time" or such in that Jagex post.

Even if a company advertised a product using the exact words "limited time offer", it doesn't mean they can't pull that product off the market, but then reintroduce it later.

Take a look at this McDonald's "limited time offer" on their first introduction of Mac Jr. and Grand Mac in January, 2017:

They mentioned
"For a limited time"
in their advertisement. But then they took Mac Jr. and Grand Mac off their menu shortly after.

Only that a year later in January, 2018, they brought these 2 products back to their menu with another "for a limited time" offer:

This kind of "limited time offers" happen a lot in the food and beverage business, e.g. almost all those all-you-can-eat-buffets. ;)

Many people just can't distinguish or refuse to accept the REAL WORLD difference between Limited Time Offers and Limited Edition Items. One describes the duration of a service and has no promise on when or if the same service will be offered again in the future, unless otherwise specified. The other often comes with specifics and conditions on the item, most often how many of such item will be offered.

Jagex never said any of these "rare" virtual items are Limited Edition Items, not even Limited Time Offers whatsoever anyway. :D :D :D

Absolutely! Being able to collect shards for the elite skilling outfit has breathed new enthusiasm into my skilling. I gotta catch em all. I really want to lvl up wc to do bamboo for ports but I'm holding out to grind that sentinel outfit. They are also tremendously helpful for those of us who skill in the wildy. I keep them on death and don't have to go get them back every time I'm pked. I would even do regular dg for them, and I only do sinkholes to unlock the exile and get tokens. I'm ready to grind; release them plz!

I would like to know if any items are excluded from this system and will not be available for free. My main goal is to understand if you had thought this one through or is this an initiative with not much planning and foresight.

Also I still want one of the old party hats b/c I dislike your double standards.

A much better system would be to let players claim a few things they desire via a token instead of handing everything out left and right. This way you consider everyone's feelings and don't have to hand out phats.

From what it seems like this will mostly be centered around TH items only so things like this:
