Yeah, the unique items you can only win one of, regardless of what multiplier is attached to your prize. Tokens are a different matter though.

When the bloodtusk armor promotion ran a little while back on Undergrowth, I found a token for an armor piece on an x4 square, so I won 4 of those tokens. I redeemed one, and traded the other three for the three other tokens, including the squeaker axe token. I essentially got the entire armor/weapon package by using one TH key. :)

Recently, since the advent calendar began, I've noticed a new, sort-of-related TH scam:

During some, but not all, of the TH promos that have been changing daily, we are being cheated out of oddments when discarding prizes that have been multiplied. For example, when Rainbow's End ran again yesterday, I won x3 small stars. However, discarding these 3 stars for oddments only gave me what we get for cashing out just 1 small star. So I got penalized for not happily taking the 3 small stars and discarding them for oddments, which I can use anytime, unlike BXP.

Today's promo, however, does give oddments for each prize discarded when discarding multiplied items.

Perhaps this has happened to others before December 1st, but it only began happening to me this month.

good observation, although i do not know how you would have gotten oddments had you accepted the stars. is there a way to convert to oddment after accepting them?

You should notice tokens are not unique and they are tradeable. You get multiple copies of them if you win multiple copies of them, unlike untradeable UNIQUE items like the rare cosmetics and Lucky gear.

Unique items.
You can only have one of them.

If you win them as multiple prizes, they of course can only give you 1, because it's unique. Like when I won 7x LSGS. they gave me one, and converted the others.

This is not a bug. You are not being scammed. It's working as intended.

Now, if they don't give you a partial refund for the others by adding some extra oddments into your currency pouch, THEN you have a bug that you can send a ticket in for.

I won this on treasure hunter

but it only gave me 1 glove. where are my 4 other gloves?
Woah that's ridiculous. Do the extra gloves get converted to oddments btw?

Jagex should really be clearer on this. As someone that has personally spent thousands on TH I honestly didn't know about this scam.

would you rather multiple of items that don't help you in any way rather than the cashout value?
Does it cash out the extra ones?

^ My understanding is yes, it certainly used to but I haven't seen this issue raised in a while so I don't want to say 100% yes.

It did last time I cared to check, I can say 100% that it did in the past, but this was before oddments, so who knows what other changes they made.

Let's say you got a 5x purple gem & the cashout was 500k, you would get the item & 2m cash.
