Scrybabies will call foul because just about anything in the Sixth Age is somehow a "lorefail", when really, they mean "How dare this quest not prove my fanfiction correct!"

But I don't see what Death has to gain from gathering all the gods in one place. Maybe he doesn't want to risk all the lives that would be lost, but then why would the master have allowed Guthix to be slain in the first place?

Of course this all assuming we have heard of or met this entity before. The Elders have to have made a lot of enemies during countless Revisions. It all has to have started somewhere, It wouldn't surprise me in the least that someone saw the first Revision coming and took steps. I know this means they've been playing a long and any anger may have long departed, but Revenge is a dish best served cold.

That would make gathering the gods just another cog in their plan.

I think the 2017 survey might also give an idea. Is it just me, or did anyone notice that the Sixth Age pillar options in the poll seemed more interested in the Elder Gods than the Dragonkin? I figured that the Dragonkin would be the most natural choice for what's next, and the Elder Gods would be saved for last, while the third pillar would move up from being just the Stone of Jas contest to a larger young god storyline. Either the Dragonkin storyline would follow on from this no matter what, or the Elder Gods are more direct, and the survey was gauging whether or not we'd want to see it. Sliske was even listed as an option, and while I get that it was to give people an idea of what they meant by Sixth Age storylines, it does seem weird when the big quest of this year is going to be Sliske's Endgame .

Sliske in his insanity built a really, really big yellow Sliske mask and now takes orders from it, yet secretly hates it and plots behind its face. It reflects how he truly hates himself on the inside. Newest Disciple of Xau-Tak

Well Raven said on Twitter that this character is someone we knew of prior to the release of Kindred Spirits.

I think Death is too busy, plus he doesn't talk like the Voice at all.
Besides, Death would surely realize that killing or banishing all the gods would lead to even more bloodshed regardless?

Why is no one agreeing with my theory that it is us from an alternate dimension? We know us well!

He has helpers.

He does talk like the voice. How can you find meaning in beauty if you are literally death?

Whose to say that's his goal? I mean, probably is, maybe?

I can't type out my entire theory from my phone but I will post it on this thread or perhaps make my own eventually.

I don't think being Death makes you dead to beauty and art. (Pun not-intended)

Look at Deaths office, he has these huge artistic windows depicting his life. In the past, he has mentioned he enjoys music greatly. He even owns a dog, which i think is a kind of beauty.

Even the other Death, Eir, seems to be quite familiar with beauty. She wears her "beautiful" human guise rather than a reaper suite, indicating to me she can appreciate her own "beauty". (If you can call a pixel cluster beautiful)
