Has anyone else ever wondered how Brassica Prime ascended to godhood? I have my own theory:

Prior to Guthix discovering Gielinor, while most of nature was already flourishing on the planet, the Stone of Jas rested at the low point of a valley. Since Gielinor was undiscovered, this is simply where the TokHaar or the Elder Gods left it.

One day, a bird's nest from a tree above the resting Stone dropped a single cabbage seed. It landed beside the Stone. Rain came, and eventually the seed found its way underground. It took root and eventually blossomed into its leafy goodness almost directly under the Stone.

The Stone's power, the blossoming cabbage had been well-preserved, staying in perfect condition for well over a century. A century's more went by... and, before we knew it, the plant had developed a sentience... and a share of the Stone's power.

And so became the God of Deliciousness, with the aid of the Cabbage of a Thousand Truths.
I’m not great at this game, but I do love quests.

placing "sentience" and "brassica prime" in the same sentence is a bit of a stretch. "sanity" would also be a bit of a stretch.

Another dark possibility:
There was once another god, similar to Loarnab.
It didn't feel too well one day, it fell over, sick.
The poor sickly god laid there for what seemed like years.
Then one day, a cabbage seed fell on it.
The god, covered in dirt and grime, and all sickly overr the years it was there, unknowingly and unwillingly allowed the cabbage seed to grow.
The cabbage slowly grew and grew. Much like how a mushroom or other plants grow upon other plants, a pre-ascended cabbage took nutrients and life from this dying god.
At first, the cabbage was little more than a divinely empowered cabbage, glowing in awesomeness and deliciousness.
As time passed, the god shriveled more and more ... never quite dead. Yet the cabbage grew and grew. The cabbage grew to understand its surroundings and how things grew, and the fullness of deliciousness, but it never quite understood why .
Finally, the cabbage found itself fully formed, bursting with awesome deliciousness, but it found itself resting on a pile of stone. A strange looking statue.
The roots of the now blossomed Brassica Prime had broken apart what was once a god. But Brassica did not know this at the time, and in truth, never would.
The cabbage simply knew that this spot was no longer fertile and it must move on to greener pastures to spread the word of deliciousness.
