I have updated this thread and added links to all of the RuneLabs ideas presented!!!
This is much better than the ID#'s, although they take up more space, but that's ok! If you see any errors I have made, please correct them! (I wasn't able to check all the links) Now you can either link directly to the idea or give me the ID#. Either way it will be added. Unless, of course, it is either irrelevant to the lore or breaks the lore. Which brings me to my next point:
A quest where we meet the final Guardians of Guthix to forge a weapon for the world guardian to fight the gods.
I have a problem with this Quest. While I definitely want to meet those last 2 Guardians of Guthix, and the Godless do need to get stronger (Perhaps Invention will help with that?), to me this sword is too OP. It apparently has enough power to make a God mortal, and rivals an Elder Artefact. This would be game-breaking, as there would be no need for the 6th Age series as we could just use the sword on whichever Gods we don't want around.
I would add this if the sword was heavily nerfed, or it didn't live up to expectations, etc. However, as it stands, this Quest will not be added due to the gamebreaking abilities of the sword in question. If you can convince me I have misunderstood the idea, I will be happy to add it, but as of right now I will not.
I haven't seen this thread in a while almost forgot about it. The sword was not intended to live up to expectations. What the weapon would do is siphon off god energy from whatever god it strikes. Slowly but surely reducing said god's power. It's intent was for if a god was to fight the World Guardian there would be some level of risk to them. Think of it having the opposite effect of an elder artifact instead of slowly increasing said god's power it slowly reduces it.
Balance within one's self
and
balance within the world
balance must be maintained.

Profiled, good thinking (quests are usually the ideas I add to wish list and support).
And to protect the Stone until such a time as, near to death, whereby you are relieved of all duties and shall henceforth be returned to your home plane with the gratitude and blessings of Guthix.
profiled, def* think you should add this one to your list
Shadows of the Vacu
, a much needed Karamjan update!
also add
Broken Minds quest
, both ideas from the same user are excellent and lore filled, the second one is currently on the ingame voting polls and needs help from the lore community, vote vote vote!
I'm not going to add any ideas that are designed for a specific competition unrelated to lore, such as this month's High Level Mob competition. The reason is that there probably won't be a competition asking for a high-level mob for a very long time, and it isn't something that will gain a lot of support in a medium competition or even a medium combat competition. For the other months, if we wanted more penguin lore for example, we could suggest an Archeron Quest. I have added this to the rules, which have also been revamped a bit.
That being said, I have also added the GoG quest now that it has been cleared up. The Broken Minds quest has also been added to the list, sad to see it not win the poll.
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.
All right. I've completed my sweep of RuneLabs and added 16 awesome ideas I found by searching. Check them out on page 1! (The first new idea is "Lore- Story Arcs made more Accessible"
.
While searching, I did find 16 great ideas worthy of addition in a variety of categories ranging from high Elder Gods to lowly Eli Bacon, and everything in between! However, it saddens me that most ideas are written by people with no understanding of the lore, wanting RuneScape to be what they want it to be. For instance, when I searched "Guthix", I came accross 7 pages of quests asking for him to be revived, instead of something that could give us more lore on him. It was the same for Sliske, when I entered his name into the search bar all i got were quest ideas where we kill him. Most of the ideas I found when I searched everything else were like this (although
this idea
gave me a good laugh), but at least there are some good ideas that we can push.
As always, if you have an idea that isn't on the list but should be (Whether it is your own or somebody elses) please post it here so I can add it.
Now to the next order of business: Featured ideas.
Next month's competition is almost certainly going to be the Medium level Quest competition. I plan to feature 2 of the best quests in terms of lore, but I want to give you the chance to decide which ones should be featured. Just reply to the thread with the medium Quest that you think should be featured, and a quick reason why. I will feature the two that have the best reason, but remember I have the final say in which ones get featured. Next month is a wonderful time to expand the lore and the lorehounds must unite to get the job done!
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.
Since there are no replies, I'm going to post the two ideas I plan to feature in this post. If you have an objection to an idea for whatever reason, or if you think another idea on the list is better to feature, just reply and I'll make a decision.
The two quests I plan to feature on the OP July 1 are:
I have a proposal an XXL quest.
Severing the Dragonkin's Curse
explores the mission Zaros gave Char at the end of Fate of the Gods. Nomad and the Dragonkin serve as potential antagonists, while Robert the Strong will begin his return.
You can also update the link for
Bik and the Oceans
. Just leave out "and the forthcoming eclipse that will mark the end of Sliske's contest!", and the summary is still the same.
