Kindred Spirits:

"I was kidnapped along with several other hostages to force my idol into a series of deadly games with the Barrows Brothers. I attempted to buy some time for my idol to investigate by using my amazing mimicry skills, but apparently Sliske managed to see right through it.

Upon on the hero's return, Sliske stole a part of their soul and proceeded brutally beat them up. He then announced Linza betrayed us, and promptly turned her into a wright. We almost bit the dust if the Barrows Brothers hadn't rebelled, allowing my idol, Major Rancour, and myself to narrowly escape the collapsing tunnels.

I think I shall retire from private investigating and just stick to adventuring. It's much safer."

I tried using the advice Portmaster-senpai gave me and it worked amazingly! Even I'm kind of surprised how well it went. Normally, something would have gone wrong and I'd lose some of Portmaster's share of the treasure. Hope he's happy with me for managing to do right this time. Maybe he'll give me more advice!

I know Portmaster said that the best way to get around is by your own two feet but I could swear he's using some strange spell I just can't get my head around. Once, he tugged at this weird hood he wears sometimes, hovered in the air, and just vanished! Right in front of me! Surula said he went to a guild but didn't say which. So I tried following him the other day. He went to this big camp by Falador and walked into the portal but when I went in after him, all I got was this pitch for joining a clan. Hopefully Portmaster will be able to tell me what's up with that.

So I thought I would try something harder, and get a task from Death himself.
He looked scary, but I think he was taking it easy on me. He asked me to kill some spider named Arraxor 3 times.
3 times?
I know spiders are creepy and everything. But a spider? 3 times? This can't be that hard.

If you brought Zanik to life in Nomad's Elegy:

A peg-legged friend of mine found this treasure map that points to an island in the middle of the Eastern Lands. I teamed up with Zanik, the famous Cave Goblin Adventurer, who I bonded with after stories and our mutual admiration for the World Guardian. We went to Port Sarim and purchased a vessel called Klarense's Cruiser and sailed off for our quarry.

We made it several scary-looking pirates and came face to face with a giant, red, metallic dragon (could this be the legendary Dragon Dragon?!). We dug up a chest and found a chest with a map leading back to our starting point. I was first disappointed by the lack of treasure, but then I realized that the true treasure was the journey itself and the friendship I formed with the great Zanik herself!

I thought to tell the World Guardian about our encounter with the Dragon Dragon itself, but he/she probably slayed thousands of them, maybe even a few Barrows Dragon to boot!

"Dear Adventurer's log, today I met a fellow Adventurer at the Champion's Guild that wasn't senpai the Portmaster.

She wasn't like me at all; confident, intelligent and strong but she was still awfully nice!

Her name was Zanik, a goblin from the Dorgeshuun tribe but she was nothing like the other goblins I've encountered so far. We talked as we left the Guild together about you know, girl stuff and our adventures; we hit it off fom the get go, we could have even been besties! :O She even showed me this cool trick with a bone dagger! It's funny, we grew up so differently and had a big gap in our experinces but we both liked the same type of things...

...And the same person.

That was the problem. As we journeyed to Edgeville, she started to talk about her early life and how she came to the surface before her quest against the War God Bandos. I was enraptured by her story and even ecstatic when I realised we shared a good friend, the Portmaster of all people! What are the odds? But as Zanik's story went on, the more she talked about senpai the Portmaster , the more I heard the subtle longing in her voice and the tenderness that underlined the respect she had for them. As we reached Edgeville, my heart was heavy and I'm ashamed to say I was a little jealous of Zanik. But it's ok, I solved the problem! And without the Portmaster's advice for once. ^_^

There are plenty of skeletons north of Edgeville...
One more won't hurt.

Anyway, that's enough for today! Tomorrow is another adventure and another chance to impress my senpai. They'll notice me eventually... there isn't any competition left.

Toodles ;) "

Met the cook at Lumbridge Castle today.
He told me all about the time my mentor helped him! The cook? I was more amazed it was just getting ingredients for a cake!
But I guess even great adventurers have to start somewhere, or be willing to take a job no matter how small.
But if my mentor can do it, so can I!
I offered to help the cook, and he said he needed some eggs to make the Duke breakfast. He didn't anything special, just eggs. I guess the kitchen ran out.
I went to the nearest farm and stealthily stole 3 eggs from the coop and got away without being noticed. I thought I'd grab 3 just in case, and maybe get the cook to make me scrambled eggs as a reward.
The cook took one of the eggs, cracked it open, and then burned it.
I guess it happens. It happens to me a lot.
I gave him another egg. Her burned it. I gave him the last egg. He burned that too.
How?
He sent me to get more eggs.
I grabbed 3 more.
He managed to burn each one. He's supposed to be a professional cook, but he burns scrambled eggs?
I thought ok, maybe it's the eggs themselves. Maybe I got them from a coop that had sick chickens.
I went all over Misthalin and Asgarnia, and filled my backpack with eggs. Then I went to Wydin's store and bought another backpack full of eggs.
Surely even he can't burn all of these?
Egg 12 - burned
.
.
.
Egg 29 - burned
.
.
Egg 45 - broke the bowl with an egg?
.
.
Egg 55 - burned
When he got to the last egg, I stepped in and offered to cook it. I mean, I'm bad at cooking, but not this bad.
He have me the basic pointers on it. Nothing too hard.
I cracked the egg open on the bowl.
Filled it up.
Then cooked it on the stove.
Success!!! Scrambled eggs!!!

The cook was both happy and angry I guess.
He taught me a little more about cooking and said I could borrow his stove anytime I wanted.
Then he pushed me out the door while he went to serve the Duke breakfast.

So, after helping the kitchen assistant prepare the Duke's morning crumpet, Zanik and I got a few things together and had a lovely picnic on the Salve. This odd pig came up to us and gave us an electric shock when we both tried to pet it!

Wandering farm animals with electrical abilities? Something strange is afoot and someone needs to look into it! Perhaps it's time for me to open my dectective agency once more!

...

I wonder if the World Guardian is free to help?

Dear Adventurer's Log,

Today, I finished one of those clues that senpai Portmaster talks about so much! I found some coins, a few biscuits, some teleport scrolls, and a vial filled with blood .

I tossed the vial (I'm not a vampire, what do I need blood for?) and packed the biscuits into my lunch bag. For as old as they are, they're delicious!
Either get lucky or grind trying.

Visited Daemonheim today. But not the scary place Sliske took me but you know, REAL Dungeoneering.
It was my first time. I saw a lot of groups saying really weird phrases.
I told them I wanted to learn and was looking for a teacher. Most of the groups didn't seem happy about that and they just ignored me.
I finally met a group who were doing something called "rushes". Couldn't be too bad a I guess.
They took me on, said it was a small floor.
We were there, they were already going at it.
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and told myself "alright Meg, you can do this!"
But when I opened my eyes, they were already shouting for me to "come on!"
It was done. Over. Already?
How long was I out? It couldn't have been more than a seconds. A minute maybe?
But it really was that long.

We did the next floor. Again! It was over, just like that.
Then we did another.
And another.

I think we did 10 floors in 15 minutes before they started calling me a leech and they kicked me out of the party.
I mean, I'm not a bloodsucker or anything, and it was rude of them to do that.

I'm not sure I learned anything about Dungeoneering either. It seems way too intense and stressful.
