Whilst doing Troll Invasions, I noticed one of the fanatics was called a 'Saradominist Magister'.

Probably totally unrelated. But it got me thinking, Magister is Latin for teacher.
And it tends to be the Zarosian dialogue that uses Latin as the Infernal tongue.

We could gather that the original Magisters were not suppose to lead and rule like a monarchy or government, but guide and enlighten like a group of wise sages in Saradomin's absence.
If the system we see today involves backstabbing, power grabs and false images, it really goes to show how power can corrupt. Makes me keen to see Saradomin's face should he return.

Is it possible that Ice Warriors, Earth Warriors etc are from terragard?
I doubt that they are, but they are almost certainly of human origin. The same goes for the spiritual warriors of Saradomin and Zamorak.

Teragard humans may be built a bit like the Fremenniks due to living in cold mountain areas, and are probably highly intelligent and skilled constructors and technicians. That being said, I can't say what their actual combat skills are like compared to humans from Gielinor.

IIRC from the old game guide, spiritual warriors are just humans who've died in battle and been reanimated by the gods to keep fighting. ... You are referring to the ones in the GWD, right?

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

Yeah. Even the Zarosian ones were human (Nex liked having humans in her army), so the only exceptions were Armadyl (aviansie) and Bandos. They were probably ogres since the shamans made tasty mages as we saw in Gu'Tanoth, and the ogre in the Red Axe series. Ogres also preferred melee like most Bandosians do, and some dabbled in ranged combat like Rantz, albeit being better with a bow.

Another thing to think about, assuming Saradomin is a normal human being, is fashion or image consciousness. He seems to change his look from time to time and dubs himself the one true god, which suggests that Teragardians are very conscious of their image. And speaking of the self-proclamation as the one true god, this is a psychology that may be possessed by the Magisters, and each of their families may not get along as a result. Could you tell us a bit more about Second Age Saradominist colonies & Terraguard? Mod Jack has mentioned that it would bear some connections to Ancient Greek culture, what would your thoughts be on the intellectual aspects of the Saradominist colonies? Will you guys be writing in great philosophical minds (Like Socrates?) into the history of the ancient Saradominist? If so would you be willing to give us some idea what they pondered?

I wonder if Oreb is akin to Sliske, The breakaway of the Magisters. I can't see every other Magister being as...involved behind the scenes of the plans of the bigger current narrative.

Certainly wouldn't mind throwing them through the Schism never to return, but I do that out of contempt, not because they're the REAL big bad behind it all and I have to out of heroic obligation.

I love the idea of Teragard and wish they would pursuit more stories relating back to Saradomin's origins as it is something that gets people involved just because of how polarizing he is as a character if you love him its difficult to learn about his dark past and if you hate him its hard to judge a character that at heart is good.

As to the actual speculation I agree with posts above there have been many hints that the magistrates basically run the world. As to Saradomin abandoning the humans there was an old member of Aegis that made the argument that Saradomin never really abandoned anyone that it was more just how he worked, when setting up the human colonies he likely just gave them a core of base laws and principles and then left them to do as they wish.

I doubt this is the case but I like to think that Saradomin was cast out by the magistrates, in the lore we have from Robert the Strong the Teragardians used obelisks to store energy from the schism and the magistrates where the ones that controlled these obelisks. I wonder if they all got together combined their respective power to cast Saradomin out so they could take over or at least so that they could get the biggest threat to their power out of the way and then they could equally squabble over it.
