Y'know, I really can't help but notice that, from a storytelling perspective, there are some striking similarities between Zamorak and Donald Trump. They both took on the establishment, and against all odds, won. This old empire sounds like it was a nasty place stagnant with corruption.
Some good things that came from it though was the advancement of finer things like architecture and magical discovery. I see Zaros as a tainted version of Guthix. I also don't buy into him learning from his mistakes, simply because he probably believes nothing was wrong to begin with. I could be off on that, but I'm betting much of the dialogue in FoTg was nothing more than honeyed words.
In the end, if you believe power and prosperity should be for the elite; and the rest simply exist to facilitate their advancement, then follow Zaros. I support Zamorak because he advocates the opportunity for all to rise, given they have the self determination to do so.
Zamorak 2016! Drain the swamp again in the 6th age! (I couldn't resist, too funny)
