Forgive me for the title - I wish it could be a little longer - I wanted to write " The consequences of allowing Nomad have the stone ". I don't know if this matter has been discussed here before, so please tell me if it has. And I hope I didn't miss anything in the game/lore otherwise thise hole thread may be useless!

At the end of Dishonour Among Thieves (DAT, and spoiler alert ahead) we are given the choice to throw back or dodge the spear hurled by Nomad. I personally didn't throw it back at him because I actually respect him - he's crazy, yes, but quite the villain - and letting him take a piece of the Stone of Jas would make things more challenging in the future.

The only consequence in-game of allowing him take the stone is the damage of his soul blast attack in NE, making it 9k if I'm not mistaken. However, let's think about this for a moment - He couldn't steal the stone, but he did take a small piece of it. As small as it may be, it gave him quite some power. I imagine it can still harm the Dragonkin when touched and allow pretty much anyone achieve godhood (albeit more slowly than touching the hole stone, probably). And here's the big question - where is that small piece? Did Nomad hide it moments before NE? Did Sliske took it when he transformed Nomad and combine it back to the stone (personally I hope not)? Is it still lost somewhere? Maybe the Dragonkin aren't fully freed from their curse.

I don't know about it, but this does seem to have a lot of potential. I said I hoped Sliske didn't conjoined the stone piece back because this way new quests/stories may be created in the future. Maybe that stone piece is not as powerful as the hole stone, but the gods/mortals may try to find it as it's still quite powerful. Heh the only problem is this won't work for those who chose not to dodge the spear.

Give your thoughts about it!

It's probably discarded offscreen somewhere at this rate since a) Nomad having the piece is a player choice, so b) Jagex most likely won't want to put in much effort writing more for a plot thread that some people won't have.

Unless they decide to explore the idea of people finding fragments of the Stone after Sliske's Endgame and messing around with it (and giving an excuse for Nomad to have a part of it for those who stopped him), I really can't see this being too important given the current situation :(

1) Knowing Jagex, this is probably inconsequential since it's player choice.

2) Off topic, but how did you get your eyes to glow green with the fury headpiece?
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

I think that as a result of Kerapac destroying the Stone, the fragments that got scattered will still have the effect of the curse in place and there will be more False Users, although to a much lesser extent. It may be that False Users now will have more of an itching effect than the Stone fully intact did.

Relomia gives us 3 of these fragments, and they have shadow effects of their own. It might be possible that Sliske stored part of his soul in the Stone, or even gave Jas his head gem. So he may have been trying to put his soul in areas that can't really be destroyed so that he can't truly die (such as the stone fragments and the World Guardian who Harold keeps resurrecting as per their duties as Guardians of Guthix), and that one of the reasons why his body turned to stone was because when he was finished injecting the last piece of his soul into us, there was no more of his soul left. A bit like Voldemort making his Horcruxes, if you will.

If this is true, then there's no real way of getting rid of Sliske once and for all. And it could mean that the fragment Nomad has was taken by Sliske as well, or at least had another bit of his soul put inside it.

The same could be said with whatever we found in Kindred Spirits. We found out his plans, and messed around with an artefact (may be another Elder Artefact, may be another piece of the Stone he himself had taken, may be the Shadow Focus, may be anything including a combination of these things). So he didn't want to be killed before his plans to become de facto immortal were fulfilled. Which may explain why he laughed as he turned to stone; the gods turn to stone when they die because they lose their souls or have them overwritten upon ascension, apparently.

Hello! To answer your question, if you have graphic settings on high the eyes always glow green, unless you activate a gaze aura of a different colour (or vernal haha if you wish to increase it)

I think his head gem is in the rebuilt staff of Armadyl

I think that post-SE, they'll make something up along the lines of him taking a chunk of it after Kerapac blew it up, for those players who didn't let him take it originally.

Sounds fair to me. I'd prefer that over abandoning the plot point entirely.
