Forgive me for the title - I wish it could be a little longer - I wanted to write "
The consequences of allowing Nomad have the stone
". I don't know if this matter has been discussed here before, so please tell me if it has. And I hope I didn't miss anything in the game/lore otherwise thise hole thread may be useless!
At the end of Dishonour Among Thieves (DAT, and spoiler alert ahead) we are given the choice to throw back or dodge the spear hurled by Nomad. I personally didn't throw it back at him because I actually respect him - he's crazy, yes, but quite the villain - and letting him take a piece of the Stone of Jas would make things more challenging in the future.
The only consequence in-game of allowing him take the stone is the damage of his soul blast attack in NE, making it 9k if I'm not mistaken. However, let's think about this for a moment - He couldn't steal the stone, but he did take a small piece of it. As small as it may be, it gave him quite some power. I imagine it can still harm the Dragonkin when touched and allow pretty much anyone achieve godhood (albeit more slowly than touching the hole stone, probably). And here's the big question - where is that small piece? Did Nomad hide it moments before NE? Did Sliske took it when he transformed Nomad and combine it back to the stone (personally I hope not)? Is it still lost somewhere? Maybe the Dragonkin aren't fully freed from their curse.
I don't know about it, but this does seem to have a lot of potential. I said I hoped Sliske didn't conjoined the stone piece back because this way new quests/stories may be created in the future. Maybe that stone piece is not as powerful as the hole stone, but the gods/mortals may try to find it as it's still quite powerful. Heh the only problem is this won't work for those who chose not to dodge the spear.
Give your thoughts about it!
