1) As far as we know, they did not lose energy on Freneskae.
2) She could have easily handled the Muspah herself.
Teaching them how to breed drained Mah. If she simply encouraged them to continue this, not sacrifice each other, and temporarily handle the Muspah herself, she could have allowed the Mahjarrat to populate freely and destroy the worst monster of them all: Mah. With enough Rituals of Enervation, Mah would have been too weakened to create Muspah or, better yet, dead. From there, they could look into ways of using the energy of dead Mahjarrat to their benefit, perhaps reshaping into a newborn's life.
Everything she did, she did for Mah. She would have been quite happy to just let them all kill themselves to keep Mah alive, but Mah was prone to injuring herself and needed energy to be taken away to stop this, which is why she taught them to breed. Mah was an overcontrolling monster that would have killed all her children just so she could survive. Helping her was inexcusable, especially at the cost of her sibling's lives.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.
