I choose Option 2.

Reason: Allowing everyone to kick will naturally lead to abuse.

Reminder, they'd only be able to kick unranked people.

This needs to be repeated.

I am really disappointed that there is a large groundswell for option 2. I guess most people have lived under the imaginary yoke of their "oppressive" masters so long that they never have experienced the joys of a general-less fc.

Oh well. It' is harder to find them now that Jagex is recycling banned and old account names. I wanted to see something new for once other than the same old egalitarian anarchy. But can I really fault people for thinking it is something new and exciting? No, but I can fault myself for working against the idea that I am a trustworthy and sane person. Who is going to trust my testimony when I rely so much on self-deprecating humor? I really wanted to see what this brand new form of tribal anarchy resulted in. Hoh hum.

Er, why are people still voting? Option 2 is already in full effect, is it not?

Option 1 could be in effect rather than option 2. We won't know for sure until a sufficiently annoying unranked person shows up. Or Dethal could tell us, but that could bias the vote.

I refrain from voting this time. Both options doesn't sound 100% right to me. I was edging toward Option 1 since FC regulars aren't that -corrupt- ...much. :P Upon reflection though, I'll refrain from voting.

For love of God, when is this FC politics done and over with?

My problem with this vote-

Neither option really fits every issue that could be presented. Sure they both establish an egalitarian kind of governance, but with option 1, you run the risk of any fc regular going corrupt and kicking people (for whatever reason, unlikely as it may be)

In option 2, we could get spam attacked and trolled galore (which, wish as you might, the ignore button is not a good fc wide policy that will keep the fc growing with this).

I think we seriously need to consider some sort of ranked system in case this fails.

Maybe we could diversify the ranks a bit as well, use some of the other ranks.

Give everyone who has voted in an election a 'recruit' stripe, give regulars a corporeal stripe, and then hold elections for generals with there being thresholds of votes for Captains and Lieutenants.

Decide upon a kick strategy where Generals can kick regulars, Captains kick recruits, and Lieutenants can kick smileys, or something with a similar down-slide in votes and power.

Next have whenever multiple similarly ranked people together- they need to consult and agree to kick whoever the person in question is- After giving a warning, and alerting the next lowest rank.

There are some flaws, for instance while it may be disallowed for generals to kick Lieutenants, its still possible due to Jagex fc rules, and in fighting could cause this to happen, but because it is explicitly against the fc rules- the person in question would face an automatic derank- with an appeal possible if the Lieutenant was accused of breaking other rules.

Please Consider this alternative, should either system we end up with fail. We can Iron out the specifics later and change some rules if we need to.
