It's not like he's needed an excuse in the past to spam alts. First two times he did it for fun*ies. Then he did it again because he didn't get his way. And now? The kicking is a possibility, I will admit. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Let's finish the aog tourney before talking about a chronicle tourney... which reminds me, not a lot of progress is being made with aog.

You're so critical! And anyways you'll have to talk to the individual combatants to figure out what's wrong. There's no set timeline for this.

Alright, since it seems option 2 isn't going to win, I'm changing my vote to option 1. I have to choose the lesser of two evils here, and we already saw how easily a single person or group can take control by whispering in Dethal's ear and changing things to their liking.

Having no generals has problem as well; make no mistake, but I'd rather not see another coup.

I don't necessarily support option 1, but isn't that a bit unfair Hazeel? The alt attacks happened because a general kicked someone.

And I don't remember, but weren't previous alt attacks also related to people being banned/ostracized from the fc?

You're interpreting the cause and effect wrongly.

If someone is immature enough to pursue attack as a response to their ostracization, that's a solid affirmation of why they should have been ostracized in the first place. If they were in fact innocent/reasonable and a victim of power abuse, then they probably wouldn't retaliate in a way that only acts as a showcase of why they were punished. Because this isn't how reasonable people behave.

In plain speak; don't blame moderators for people being stupid.

Oh, I'm not blaming moderators for anything. But I don't really think mis-interpretting cause and effect wrongly. At the end of the day, even if person x was a deuce all along, they will have alt-attacked only after being kicked/ostracized.

Well... at least that's what history has shown. Maybe x person who is a deuce might alt-attack without being kicked/ostracized? Who knows.

Honestly, the reason I'm not voting is because it feels pointless right now. Naturally, people want change, they want change quickly, and they want to get the vote over with ASAP because of all the drama. But in the end, none of the systems are perfect and they're all some form of extreme.

If Option 1 wins, we're going to have a bad time. We're going to have a miserable experience because of some uncontrollable trolls and/or alt spammers. It might only happen one day out of a whole year, but it's gonna set people off. They're going to cry for change, a new vote, or leave. We'll end up having a new vote and probably adopting another (or old) system.

If Option 2 wins, we'll either rush our elections and have bad results that **** people off or we'll plan our election process, the politics will cause drama and **** people off. And, in the end, it'll probably lead to another vote to change the system by the time the next election comes around.

If Option 3 wins, people are either going to accuse Dethal of being biased and showing favoritism or else claim he's trying to be too "Politically Correct" in FC terms and selecting poor choices just to avoid stepping on minority toes. It doesn't matter how well he chooses the generals, there's going to be resentment from a lack of choice. And from here we'll either have someone demanding ownership of the FC because they think they can do a better job or--you guessed it--a demand for a new system.

If you're looking at it from a purely cause and effect angle, you're not wrong. Maybe no moderators would prevent that specific problem, too.

But I think the mild annoyance of having to remove kebabs is a sacrifice worth taking if the general discourse of the chat is improved by moderators.
