As a die-hard herbivore, I love cabbages! Allow me to explain.

Cabbages, also known as Brassica oleracea capitata, are an excellent source of fiber and vitamin K, and an excellent source of vitamin C, calcium, potassium, and magnesium. They are among one of the oldest vegetables in existence and continues to be a dietary staple throughout the world.

They are estimated the next most common consumed vegetable next to potato and rice. Cabbage and its relatives (broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts) are rich sources of phytochemicals, naturally-occurring plant chemicals that may protect people against some forms of cancer by inhibiting tumor growth and protecting cells against damage from free radicals ( those unstable molecules released when the body uses oxygen.) Some of these chemicals are also known to speed up the body’s metabolism of estrogen.

They have zero fat, and as as with all vegetables, are HEALTHY, unlike that filthy steak you are putting in your mouth.

Concerning it's place in Gielinor, cabbage can be found in many areas throughout the game. Example places include Draynor farm, Rimmington, Miscellania, why even the Gower brothers love cabbages! They have a farm full of them ^_^ In addition, it is so easy to grow it practically only requires 7 Farming! Cabbage is so amazing that, if you did not know, there is even a GOD dedicated to cabbages: Brassica Prime!

This god is full of delicious goodiness and is considered to be the patron of all cabbages. Brassica's followers include many farmers, cabbages, and are led by the Gower Brothers as their general. Their generals are conventionally the most strongest of all God generals in-game, with control over the backgrounds known as the "Behind the Scenes."

Want to show your support to this awesome god? Rid your allotments of watermelons today and grow cabbages, instead. Death to the evil primate god! Hail Brassica!

The evil monkeys hate cabbages, and so do their god. They prefer grapes for their wines. Zamorakians also hate cabbages. Zamorak is known to distrust the cabbage god in Sliske's Endgame and Moldark looks like he hasn't touched anything green in years.

Thanks! Im trying to come up with some quests revolving around brassica.

However, as I recall... Isn't cabbage facepunch bonanza a friendly tournament? Or is there some other lore im unaware of?

My understanding of it (and to be fair, I didn't bother taking part in that event so maybe I missed something) is that Brassica was taking it as seriously as it could, but Marimbo didn't care either way.

Other than that, I can't think of any NPCs off the top of my head that loathe cabbages outright. But Zamorak pretty much admits that he's wary of them and Brassica during Sliske's Endgame because of how easy it is for its followers to go under the radar.

Original message details are unavailable.

Zamorak:

It is easy to dismiss Brassica Prime, as a joke, or as irrelevant. But just because something is strange, it does not mean it should be ignored.

Brassica was able to convince Guthix to leave behind when the edicts came up. Even Seren was not able to do this. He is certainly not as powerful as he claims to be. But if his boasts are to be believed, his agents are fruits and vegetables everywhere.

Laugh at that for a moment and then stop and think. Are there any kings who do not have such things in their kitchens and then served at their diplomatic banquets? Even the gods discuss their plans within earshot of assorted plant matter.

So what secrets must Brassica really know? If knowledge is power, he must really be a force to consider carefully. He's a fool, yes, a joke, certainly. But what better mask is there?

That's extremely helpful and gives me an idea on a zamorakian carnivore sub-cult... Fruits and vegetables all over Gielinor are disappearing/being destroyed/being found as rot. But cabbages suffer the worst of fates, entire patches of young brassican followers annihilated as Anakin did to the jedi padewans.

Perhaps expand on the cabbagemancer quest a bit... Perhaps only truely grown and farmed things are sentient through Brassica's magic. Things created through magic unless added to... Are merely cabbagey/fruity goodness

Saradomin, though not necessarily Saradominists, doesn't like Brassica. He refuses to even acknowledge that Brassica is a god and finds even discussing Brassica to be 'almost contemptible.' It appears to be less an outright loathing and more along the lines of refusing to even be remotely associated with something as embarrassing (in his eyes) as Brassica.

That being said, I don't think he has any issues with cabbages in general.

Actually had an idea for a twist end about that. Somehow... Throughout this quest, or perhaps because the 3 cabbagemancers have been doing some recruiting... Brassica's power has grown significantly. His goals remain the same. Deliciousness and cabbage. However, of course Zammy gets wind of this... Of course his reaction is to try to nip this in the bud (pun not intended, but i laughed when I realized.) He goes to try to destroy Brassica, whether they are now evenly matched, or through the player's assistance it ends in a stalemate.

Some god who's been watching, (Probably Sara.) Takes his opportunity to try and kill two birds with one stone, eliminating them while they are weakened.

Im torn between someone coming to assist, and Brassica doing something overly ridiculous. Like hitting him with a cabbage meteor from the sky and just flattening him. (Not destroying him of course.)

"Cheap tricks are not delicious." Is his only comment.

Another idea comes to mind. What truely makes a good meal delicious? The Balance of flavours. Ascend to your true potential Brassica!
