I went full on Ramsay on Saradomin and Zamorak, and enjoyed every single bit of it.

I told Seren the World Guardian was to blame for the gods' depowering because I thought it had something to do with the piece of my soul Sliske took from me. (We do get it back once we beat him right?)

Then I tried to calm Zimzam down when he started chewing Seren out.

Player kills black knight titan in Zamorak's entourage.
Zamorak You win this round Saradomin. With your pet World Guardian to protect you I will concede your victory here. But your pet cannot protect you forever and my patience is infinite.
Saradomin Your assistance is much appreciated Player. I see a great future ahead, if this cooperation continues. But I can stay here no longer, the stone must be mine. Until we meet again my friend.

I couldn't even read this due to how the wiki handles choices within choices in transcripts. Can we find a better way to edit this?

Found this interesting dialogue where Zamorak...basically hits the nail on the head with Armadyl and gives some interesting insight on their characters.

---

Armadyl: Murderer, how dare you show your face here!
Zamorak: You dare slander me with that title, god slayer? You who decapitated Bandos and encouraged a war across all of Gielinor to do so?
Armadyl: That was different. You murdered almost an entire species. Your attack on Forinthry...
Zamorak: Ha! You speak as though I had a choice. You and Saradomin stood beside one another ready to pronounce my death sentence. I only did what I did as a last resort.
Armadyl: We could have been reasoned with. We would have listened. We would have accepted a graceful surrender.
Zamorak: You...perhaps. You still cling to the mortality of mortals, perhaps trying to convince yourself you are one. But not him. Not Saradomin. He had my death sentence pronounced from the moment our war began. He cannot stand that my message is as powerful as his. That freedom can be just as powerful as his mindless dogma.
Armadyl: That does not excuse what you did. To save your life, you took thousands of lives. You nearly destroyed my entire race.
Zamorak: Bah, there were others. You had an entire world of them.
Armadyl: There were precious few that remained behind on Abbinah, the rest were here, on Gielnor for your war.
Zamorak: Your war. I am not the only participant of the god wars. It was you who brought so many of your race here, as warriors, to fight. Do not blame me for their deaths. It was war and in war people die. If you were not prepared for that, you should not have endangered your people. What did you expect? Did you expect to roll over my forces without a single casualty?
Armadyl: No of course not... I...
Zamorak: Then you were prepared. Prepared to sacrifice every aviansie you brought to Gielinor and you did sacrifice them. You won and you paid the price for that victory.
Armadyl: That does not excuse what you did.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Zamorak: No, and I would never pretend that I did. I wear my cruelties with pride. I have done things that some would consider reprehensible, but I have done them for the greater good. I... have made mistakes. I have seen those that I care about die...but I have owned those mistakes. It is time you did too. You are not angry at me...
Armadyl: Oh I assure you that I am.
Zamorak: Fine! You are not only angry at me. You just won't admit who you are really angry with, who you really blame for all their deaths.
Armadyl: Oh? And who am I really angry at?
Zamorak: Yourself. You brought them to this world. You armed them with swords and spears and sent them out to face my forces. You asked each and every one of them to die. To die FOR YOU. You're angry because they did. Because in you arrogance you thought that you were untouchable and your people invulnerable. Pride can be a terribly powerful weapon, but the blade always points inwards.
Armadyl: *Sigh* You might be right. I do blame myself and rightly so. But I am never going to forgive you Zamorak. I won't strike you down today, but I will not mourn if another does it for me.
Zamorak: I would have it no other way.

The more this transcript is filled out the more awestruck I am with some of these. You can be darn near everything from an empathic mediator to a suicidally stupid monster. I will most certainly be replaying this quest. (With a maze map in front of me though. Good grief.)

[Insult Jas]
[Are you sure? Jas is an elder god.]
Player: Shut it squidface, don't you tell me what to do!
Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.
OSRS Lore: Xeric

It's funny, I insulted Jas and according to the transcript she should have killed me...but this didn't happen. She just got salty and decided not to talk to me. This left me to wander that tiny rock with Jas (who couldn't be interacted with) until I decided to log out and try it again.

In addition, the whole thing with me lying to Icthlarin didn't happen either. I just called him a burden and the cutscene ended. No Sliske laugh, no Icthlarin questioning me...it was weird. It didn't surprise me at the time though, because as far as far as I could tell, I didn't get stabbed by the SoA. Just sorta stabbed Sliske and...that was the end of it.

But to break it down the info to you of the dialogue that explains his "flaw" about Saradomin is that he has a similar mindset to a human trying to survive in an apocalypse or aftermath. In that situation as soon as the Order breaks all hell goes loose and everybody suffers/dies. He saw his way work and everybody else's all failing so sticks to those ways stubbornly.

But in this scenario, replace apocalypse with "chaos" instead and the effects it can have. When a civilization or order crumbles it leads to a countless amount of people who relied on the order dying relatively quick. Surviving this can literally feel apocalyptic and you will find most humans can take this mindset if they were pushed into a situation but Saradomin is imagining chaos/disaster in long-term, not short term if Order breaks down.

The gods have a different sense of time to mortals and trying to survive chaos in the universe can be kind of apocalyptic if you think about it.

I think I missed one or two cutscene rooms, but I'd made it to the end and couldn't bring myself to venture back out (especially because the game pauses if you go to another window [which was probably intended to not penalize people switching to looking at a map {but does the order we get out end up mattering at all?}]).

I also accidentally clicked out two them (Zamorak and Sliske at very beginning and Seren with elves after guessed it was the anima mundi's fault).
Continual disappointment is the spice of life.
