*SPOILERS*

So during and after some of the cave goblin quests, Juna says that Zanik has denied her destiny and that she has violated the "sovereignty" of the gods and that she has no right to act against Bandos.

But that line of reasoning goes against everything Guthix claims to stand for, So what's up with this? Is just outdated lore that's been retconned or am I missing something?
Just go for it!

Old Dialog; I have talked to Mods on twitter about it, but nothing has been done.

Those are her old views. Since Guthix picked her to guard the Tears, Juna saw herself in Zanik, somone picked by their God. So by Zanik refusing to do her "duty", Juna saw this as a personal affront.

They DID add dialog after the fact saying that she (Juna) regrets everything she said, and that Zanik was following the true path of Guthix all along.

Yeah it is very old, when you talk to her normally about the situation of Zanik, she actually admits she was wrong, and that she only stated that she did due to not being able to see Guthix for so long.

You have to keep in mind that she worshipped Guthix without actually knowing much about him. He pretty much dropped her there and said "guard this cave." Coupled with her thinking that the Tears of Guthix resurrection thing was actually Guthix trying to make a point to her about Zanik's destiny. (when it was actually Bandos) Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

They changed the lore a bit. Not juna's fault, really

You could also see her as just doing the best that she could with the limited information she had, but in reality her information wasn't wrong, just [jagex decided to change it late on]

cant find the brain-link to the word that means that atm...

I find it very funny and fitting that Juna's credibility crumbled after Zanik resurrected. We used to huddle around her after every single quest to see what she had to say about our stories.

And she said many insightful things that, frankly, stopped mattering after she chewed Zanik out. Obviously, this is because they stopped seeing it fit to give her insightful dialogue, and with it, I stopped going to the Tears of Guthix. (Though I really should, farming isnțt going to train itself.)

Also, Xiaoqing: I think the word you're looking for is "revised"?

Less a hypocrite and more a devoted follower who will blindly follow her God, even though she knows nothing about him. Not too different from Azzanadra. Ironically, she is the very thing Guthix couldn't stand about mortals...she is unquestioning is incapable of her own views or thoughts and simply does whatever she thinks Guthix wants.

Ironically, I and other WGs are closer to what he wanted: Someone who wants to remove Gods but doesn't complete live their life by Guthix's ideals and holds their own independant viewpoints.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

The mods wanted to make the neutral god actually have good and bad traits, but since The World Wakes decided that actually Guthix is the god of precious cinnamon rolls and goodness, so decided that Juna's comments in the past were out of character for her now.
