Ironically, I and other WGs are closer to what he wanted: Someone who wants to remove Gods but doesn't complete live their life by Guthix's ideals and holds their own independent viewpoints.

By "update" do you mean that they added more dialogue in which she retracts her statement because she realized Guthix felt differently? Or did they actually change previous dialogue? Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

The realized part. they didn't change the dialogue of the Chosen commander, something that wasn't changed at all even after you completed the world wake (which is something they should do soon) But they did add dialogue that she regrets her thought and statement of Zanik, stating that Zanik was actually following Guthix's ideal.
So she was a dedicated member who was seeing Guthix's view differently like other followers. She was born during teh gods war and a few on Guthix's wakening, do she knew nothing of Guthix until the world wakes.

So she learned her lesson. The question is, what about everyone else?

She hasn't learned her lesson. She just backpeddled because Guthix felt differently about the issue than she thought. She didn't come to the conclusion on her own, she is just a blind follower of Guthix. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. Whatever you want to think. Just saying she did learn her lesson, she admitted she was wrong and admitted that she thought of Guthix the way she thought because he was never around. If you don't see that as a lesson learn, hey it's your choice.
