Tiffy is actually an avatar of Saradomin, created before Guthix banished him, and the real leader of the Temple Knights. He hides his true role by calling himself the head of recruitment. This explains why Sir Tiffy leads every Temple Knight mission we have witnessed, and how he is capable of fighting multiple Mahjarrat at once, even in his old age. This is also why his combat level is higher than any of the Mahjarrat, including Lucien - he is a being made from the power of Saradomin himself, stronger than mere children of children of children of children of children of children of a premature elder god.

This is the true reason we have never seen Sir Vey Lance, who Tiffy himself claims to be the so called head of operations, and the only Temple Knight to have contact with Saradomin himself, even in the Fifth Age. He doesn't exist. Tiffy made him up deflect suspicion away from himself. Only the truly elite Temple Knights become privy to the knowledge of Tiffy's actual identity, for everyone else he's just a slightly eccentric old man.

tl;dr Sir Tiffy is a tier 7 deity
You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?

Sir Tiffy an Avatar of Saradomin? Hardly. Most of his younger days were spent adventuring, And saying he is an Avatar of Saradomin is a fairly big assumption! There were very few things that could have raised him to Avatar status at that time, but I don't see Saradomin deliberately making himself weaker to do it... But there are others that would!

One such would be Guthix, he is one god that if he had any kind of Avatar Saradomin would leave them be. They might be irritating at times but they wouldn't be a threat a such. And even now there are ways to achieve that, which would not require his direct intervention, just him not stopping it.

Zamorak might do it though leaving him in place might seem odd, getting the Kinshra back into power sharing would undermine all Sara's work to demonise that faction.

A Zaros Avatar would would have had to been done by a minion, in which case there would have to be something we have yet to see.

Infused with a shard if Seren would be a possibility.

Amascut. Completely bat guano for sure. It would only make sense if she wanted rid of the Slug Queen herself for some reason. That and keep everyone busy and away from her. For that she'd have needed power from somewhere. Maybe somewhere in that pureed psyche there is still a little light, which would now be Sir Tiffy. Now that would be a real mushroom trip of a twist! O_o

Icthlarin is too wrapped up in his own concerns to even consider anything like that. None of the others have the oomph to pull it off.

Armadyl wouldn't even consider it and Bandos had Zanik.

So yes, he could be an Avatar and it would explain a few things. But I highly doubt it would be Saradomin.

Maybe Sir Tiffy is a Mahjarat, he was at the Ritual afterall!
